Empowering the Youth in Anda, Bohol through Life Skills and Technical Education by Dualtech Training Center
In celebration of the 151st Foundation Day of Anda, Bohol, Dualtech Training Center partnered with local schools and the municipal government to bring opportunities closer to the youth. Through an Orientation on Life Skills for Career and Technical Education held from March 10–13, 2026, students were introduced to pathways that can help them develop skills, pursue careers, and prepare for a better future.
The orientation reached students from Candabong National High School, Anda High School, Holy Infant Academy of Anda, Inc., and Badiang National High School, bringing not just information, but hope and direction to youth who are beginning to shape their future.
One of the highlights of the activity was the inspiring message from Dualtech graduate Mark John Caslib, a native of Anda who returned to share his story. A graduate of Bachelor of Elementary Education, Mark John shared that he initially struggled to find employment. After attending a Dualtech orientation, he decided to take a different path. He described enrolling in Dualtech as one of the best decisions he has made—not only for the technical skills he gained, but also for the values and work discipline he developed.Municipal Mayor Hon. Angelina B. Simacio emphasized the importance of investing in the youth. She highlighted that programs like Dualtech not only develop technical skills but also build discipline, character, and responsibility among youth. She also encouraged students to value education and maintain a positive mindset, noting that poverty is not a barrier to success.
The mayor added that supporting the youth means investing in the future progress and development of the municipality. By providing opportunities for skills training and education, the local government aims to help young people become productive members of society and contribute to the growth of Anda.
The activity in Anda, Bohol demonstrated what can be achieved when schools, the local government, and communities work together. More than just an orientation, it served as a platform for inspiration, partnership, and opportunity.
For the youth, the message was clear. Taking the step today can open the door to a brighter future. For the community and partners, the call is to continue supporting the youth, as every opportunity provided can change a life. Investing in the youth not only helps individuals succeed but also builds a stronger future for everyone.
