W&J Lim Foundation sponsors 14 Dualtech Scholars

The W&J Lim Foundation, represented by Ms. Romila Talampas, Vice President for HR; Ms. Sheryl Delacruz, HR Sr. Manager; Mr. Josefino Gabriel, HR Manager; Ms. May Darang, HR Supervisor; and Ms. Rose Bello, HR Specialist visited Dualtech Training Center Foundation, Inc. on December 6, 2022 for a Memorandum-of-Agreement (MOA) Signing and to also meet the fourteen (14) scholarship recipients who are enrolled in the 2-year Electromechanics Technology.

“We trust in the process of Dualtech’s training program that is why we are endorsing Batch 2022. It is part of Abenson’s social corporate responsibility to help through the W&J Lim Foundation, and so we sponsored the education of these fourteen (14) Electromechanic students. For livelihood sustainability and to allow them more opportunities after studying, they may be absorbed or be employed with Abenson or Waltermart branches across the nation.” W&J Lim Foundation.

The foundation, through its affiliated company ASERCO, will prepare to absorb W&J scholars as their trainees in Electromechanics Technology who are to be deployed in either nearby Abenson or Waltermart branches. These scholar-trainees will support the repair and maintenance department, handling industrial and home appliance units.
The scholars were individually interviewed by Abenson and W&J Lim Foundation. One of them was John Lloyd Kenneth (17) from Lipa City, Batangas. This young lad had grown up in a family of manual laborers. He became a construction worker himself at a young age. His mother was forced to stop working as she suffered from high uric acid levels. The family earns unstable income due to contractual employment in construction work. Moreover, the family’s eldest sibling (out of seven children) already married and had her own family. Only one of their sisters is left to be on top of the family budget, despite a meager income.
“I had no choice but to work at an early age because we were struggling with our finances. That was our situation when I inquired how to study in Dualtech. Later on, I was given an opportunity to also apply for a scholarship. I want to send my gratitude to W&J Lim Foundation for sponsoring my education here in Dualtech. This will motivate me to strive and finish my studies as I am looking forward to helping my family, especially my father who is a construction worker, as well as my sickly mother and six (6) siblings.” John Lloyd Kenneth R. Duran, one of the W&J Lim Foundation scholars.
Giving hope through education and livelihood: that is what both the W&J Lim Foundation and Dualtech are doing for students like Kenneth.
