Ten Industry Partners receive the Dual Training System Accreditation Certificates

Dualtech Center and TESDA awarded Dual Training System (DTS) accreditation certificates to 10 industry partners: Converge ICT Solutions Inc.Century Pacific Food, Inc., Toshiba Information Equipment Inc., Capitol Steel Corporation, Fujifilm Optics Philippines, Inc., Nagatsu Seisakusho Philippines, Inc., Myriad ICT Services, Inc., Glacier Megafridge, Inc., Maynilad Water Services, Inc., and P.A. Properties.

Engr. Francis Audie S. Carlos, Director of Industrial Skills Training at Dualtech Center gave the opening message, stating, “This opens a new avenue for training and development, strengthening our cooperation for nation-building. By supporting this program, we contribute to the ongoing fourth industrial revolution, which is essential in shaping our future workforce.”

An industry consultation was also held, Mr. Emyr Ramos, General Affairs and Security Manager at Toshiba Information Equipment, Inc., explained the role that Dualtech graduates play in their manufacturing operations. “The training programs provided by Dualtech align with our needs, especially in exposing trainees to technologies that are not yet widely available in the Philippines,” he said.

Similarly, Ms. Arlene Librella, Vice President of Century Pacific Food, Inc., shared a success story about how Dualtech graduates excelled in their operations. “We hired two excellent Dualtech graduates who are now teaching our senior staff. They have been integral to our operations, especially in handling complex equipment like our retort system,” she added.

Beyond technical skills, the industry partners emphasized the importance of instilling values and character in the workforce. Mr. Erico Roy Lopez, Head of HR Business Partner at Maynilad Water Services, Inc., mentioned that their partnership with Dualtech was driven by the scarcity of electromechanics talent in the market. He praised the DTS program for not only addressing this shortage but also for producing homegrown talent committed to excellence.

Some industry partners raised concerns about the need for national certifications for their technicians and in-house talents. This reflects a shared vision among industry leaders to further elevate the quality of their workforce by ensuring employees are equipped with recognized credentials.

Dir. Zoraida V. Amper, TESDA Laguna’s Provincial Director, addressed the industry partners and emphasized the importance of collaboration in shaping the future workforce. “This milestone is a testament to the power of collaboration, innovation, and commitment to excellence. By working together, we create more effective ways to train the next generation of professionals,” Dir. Amper stated.

Engr. Jerry Webb E. Muhi, President and Executive Director of Dualtech Center, closed the event with a message to the industry partners, affirming Dualtech’s dedication to fostering long-term relationships with the companies. “We are a family. Whatever you need, Dualtech is here to help nurture and grow our collaboration. We are committed to giving you the best service possible,” Engr. Muhi said.

Through their partnership with Dualtech, these companies are implementing the dual training system, now in its 30th year in the Philippines under RA 7686, which was pioneered by Dualtech. This system integrates in-school learning with hands-on work experience, training the youth to become skilled technical professionals.

With the continued support of TESDA and industry partners, Dualtech aims to transform the lives of many young Filipinos by equipping them with the skills, values, and experiences necessary to contribute to society and to their respective companies.
