Strive to be Tatak Dualtech

MARCHAN MORAL

May we continuously and constantly live all the good things we learned and developed from this school. May we never lose our values and virtues. We must show the world what we have and never get tired to ask God to give us the strength we need to strive for a better life for ourselves and our families. Let us show the world what we have and in every decision and action we make to reflect  and strive to be TATAK DUALTECH. — MARCHAN MORAL | Class Valedictorian, Gold Merit, Oustanding In-Plant and In-School, and Learning Excellence Awardee |Trained at Qorvo, Inc.

“I’m not telling you it is going to be easy, [but rather] I’m telling you it’s going to be worth it” (Arthur Williams). That’s how I describe my journey here in Dualtech. I came from Casiguran, Aurora. I learned of Dualtech when the Community Relations Group (COMREL) went to our place to campaign and gave orientation months before our high school graduation. Nearly a hundred of us attended in our school, they explained how the system of Dualtech works and they also tackled the different programs Dualtech can offer. I got interested to enroll because they offer a “study now pay later program,” and they also ensure that after graduation  graduates will have a job because employment offers come from partner companies. Having that in mind, I came here in Laguna to enroll. Of all the young men who attended the orientation I was the only one who decided to enroll here.

My fellow graduates, every corner of this school witnessed all of our efforts and sacrifices, especially in Benchwork, where we unceasingly hack sawed and filed our C-Clamp just to achieve the proper dimension. The dreaded explanation letter, which we often wrote every time we make a violation and for the demerits that would be given after. I admit that I was extremely surprised with the strict policy of the school, it was not easy for me because I had to make many adjustments, especially as to how I associated with other people, and how to discipline myself. There came a point that I decided to go back to our province. But later on, I came to realize all the efforts and sacrifices of my mother just to bring me here. I also thought of our difficult situation back in the province and nothing would happen to me if I just continued to stay in my comfort zone. And so, I decided to continue my training.

After several months of training where I learned to adjust gradually with the help of people here in Dualtech who were very approachable and willing to help and guide us all the time. I was already embracing the culture of Dualtech, then came two major storms in my life, during training. My grandfather died during the early stage of my basic training. He was the one who took care of me when I was still in our province. I struggled to focus on my studies during that time and it was very difficult because of the regret of not thanking him personally for all of his sacrifice and love for me. Up to this day I still miss him.

When typhoon Lando hit our province in October 2015, I was given the opportunity to go back in the province because Dualtech invited me to join the relief operation they organized. I thought I would be recharged because I would be with my mother and my siblings. But instead, I was devastated to see the real situation of my family there. Our house was destroyed by the typhoon. I had temptations of not coming back here in Laguna for my family needs me in Casiguran. With the help of my friends and my mentor I was helped to process all these situations. I learned how to have a positive outlook with all these challenges in my life. And I just said to myself that everything happened for a purpose and I know that God has a plan for me.

During ASTP, struggles and challenges increasingly tended more towards how to decide on what is right for ourselves. There was a battle between temptation to worldliness. After all those experiences and challenges within the two years of our training, we now discover our identities and have become more matured individuals. And now we have a greater capacity to deal with all the trials and challenges in our lives, with the help of all the good values and virtues we learned and developed during the time of our training here.

Allow me to recognize and give thanks to all the people behind our triumph. First of all to God for giving us the gift of life and for giving the grace we need to become strong and brave in facing and fighting all the trials and temptations. We would like to thank Dualtech for giving us a quality education, because they taught us on how to be proficient in technical skills, and most importantly they taught us how to be a better worker and become responsible individuals. To all Learning Facilitators, Industrial Coordinators and all the staff of Dualtech, we are forever grateful to all your help and support, and for all your guidance in discovering the talents and abilities we have. To all the mentors who never got tired listening to me and giving me a good advice, consoling me to face all the realities of life. To the partner companies of Dualtech thank you so much for your trust to Dualtech by allowing us to train in your respective companies, may you always trust Dualtech and have a strong and better partnership. To all the generous sponsors and foundations, thank you so much for helping us and we are blessed because you are always giving your trust to Dualtech. To all our friends during our training here, we became brothers and I experience having a second family, thank you for the support especially during times we were about to give up. And lastly, to our beloved parents thank you for always being there for us, for believing in us and giving us immeasurable love. To my uncles and aunts you were always there to help and support me. To my father thank you; because of you I learned how to be more independent and brave to face all the things that I thought I was not capable of doing. To my mother, thanks Ma for not giving up on me, for always caring and supporting me. Thank you for reminding me that my journey here in Dualltech may be difficult but worth the effort. Thank you so much and forgive me for my shortcomings.

Before I end, please allow me to leave these words coming from the founder of Opus Dei, St. Josemaria Escriva, who inspired people to establish Dualtech:  “Constancy that nothing can shake. That’s what you need. Ask God for it, and do what you can to obtain it: for it is a great safeguard against your ever turning from the fruitful way you have chosen. (The Way, 990)” My fellow graduates, may we continuously and constantly live all the good things we learned and developed from this school. May we never lose our values and virtues. We must show the world what we have and never get tired to ask God to give us the strength we need to strive for a better life for ourselves and our families. Let us show the world what we have and in every decision and action we make to reflect  and strive to be TATAK DUALTECH.
