Schneider Electric Donates Electrical Items for Dualtech Scholars

Today we celebrate the importance of equipping young people with the valuable skills needed for employment, decent work and entrepreneurship. We believe gaining skills provides the freedom to act independently and to make your own choices. We must continue to open the doors of opportunity to younger people, who are powerful allies and can be key advocates for sustainable change.

World Youth Skills Day
By a twist of fate, Schneider Electric Philippines (SE), donated electrical and electronics equipment to Dualtech (www.dualtech.org.ph) during the commemoration of United Nations World Youth Skills Day last July 15. There was no better way to celebrate the special day.
Schneider Electric provides energy and automation digital solutions for efficiency and sustainability in homes and buildings.
The donation demonstrates SEs commitment to investing in development of the youth, especially those in the electrical trade. The commitment of SE is under their Access to Energy Program. By providing training equipment, SE invests in the skills education of future electricians.
“We find the advocacy of Dualtech very admirable. Your commitment of providing skills education with values formation is key to ensuring that the country will not be left with a shortage of skilled workers. The fact that Dualtech partners with potential employers of the trainees is also proof of your strong standing within the development community.” explains Veronica Verina SE’s CSR & Internal Communications officer on why Dualtech was chosen for the donation.
The donation is only the first of more engagements. In the works is the upgrading of Dualtech’s electrical laboratory through the Access to Energy program.
SE has a Life Is On campaign to showcase the business and societal value of sustainability and efficiency. While the campaign spotlights the company’s customers, it may very well apply to the donation to Dualtech. Life Is On transforms the scholar and enriches their learnings. Through the donation, SE has sustained the students’ future and will make them work more efficiently. Life Is On for the scholars, for Dualtech, at every moment.
A statement released by Schneider Electric stated “We want to thank Dualtech for its strong commitment to our future skilled workers. We share the commitment and advocacy in investing in the future generations and believe this is the key to a more sustainable world.”
This donation starts the long-term partnership between Dualtech and Schneider Electric. As Dualtech continuously gets and trains thousands of Dualtech scholars despite the challenges brought by the pandemic, thousands of scholars will benefit from this collaboration between the two institutions. This has been a sustainability transformation plan of Schneider Electric to make an impact to the next generations helping the underprivileged youth get better career opportunities through Dualtech.
