How the constant pursuit of excellence pushed Dualtech scholars to succeed
“Marami ang nalampasan ko na pagsubok sa training dahil sa turo dito ng pagdarasal at pagpapasalamat sa anumang bagay. Nalampasan ko rin ito dahil sa pagkamasigasig sa anumang trabaho o gawain na ibinigay sa akin. At pagkamatatag sa anumang dagok na dumating at darating pa sa ating buhay”
For Jezreel A. Belecina, Boholano, Batch Representative, Silver Merit and Outstanding In-Plant Performance Awardee, his graduation is a feat once thought impossible. As a college undergraduate, he dropped out to pursue multiple jobs to provide for his family. When he bagged a slot from Dualtech Center, he decided to refocus, restructure himself, and work towards his diploma.
Jezreel would be the first to admit that the road towards his diploma is far from easy. He had to push to excel constantly, had to do well for his family and his community. At times when he lost focus, or felt disheartened, Jezreel turned to his faith. “Hindi tayo mawawala sa landas kapag alam natin ang mga katotohanang inilatag ng Diyos para maging maayos ang pamumuhay.” [We will not lose our way if we know the truths that the Lord has laid out for the betterment of our existence]. He imbibed the skills and values shared by Dualtech, and tried his absolute best to stay true to his goals and ambitions.
Dir. Rebecca J. Calzado, former Deputy Director General of the Partnership and Linkages Office of TESDA, lauded the Dualtech scholars in her address to the graduates. She expressed her wonder at the determination of these scholars to seek out academic opportunities despite the trials of poverty. Dir. Calzado also conveyed her support to Dualtech, for providing multinational and international training avenues for students, and for ensuring that all students are provided maximized opportunities and skill acquisition in their chosen companies.
“Ang hihingin lang po namin sa inyo ay, kung maari lang, ikalat ninyo ang magandang balita. Ang naging magandang experience po ninyo dito sa Dualtech Center kasama ang mga partners,” she asked the graduates.
Dir. Calzado also praised Dualtech’s commitment to ensuring that graduates receive well-rounded education; from the mastery of their skill sets, to their knowledge of current field trends, to the attitudes of selflessness and faithful service.
Jezreel and Dir. Calzado’s speeches are true to form for the graduating batch of Dualtech Center; scholars with their own individual testimonies, struggles, and stories of triumph. In the years to come, Dualtech hopes that these success stories will further fuel the ambition and perseverance of the scholars to come.
