IN THE LIGHT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC WHERE FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES ARE DISCOURAGED, RMN FOUND A CREATIVE WAY TO MAKE AN IMPACT

Radio Mindanao Network (RMN) is one of the largest radio network in the Philippines. It boasts of almost 65 AM & FM radio stations located all over the country.

Broadcast is defined as to make known a message or content over a wide area. In line with its thrust to further its broadcast reach, RMN turned over electronic gadgets to Dualtech Training Center (www.dualtech.org.ph). The tablets are to help the students comply with the requirements of distance learning in this time of Covid-19 pandemic. Each boarding house where scholars stay during their basic training were allocated a tablet to facilitate access to e-learning modules provided by Dualtech.

The donation demonstrates how RMN considers education as one of its top priorities in its CSR program. RMN did not allow the virus to stop education of the next generation of workers. RMN treasures the youth as the hope and future of the country.

Corporate social responsibility has traditionally been defined by monetary donations targeting a specific cause. In the light of the Covid-19 pandemic where face to face meeting is discouraged, RMN has found a way to allow its continuity.
