From Training to Employment

“I thank the Lord for making Dualtech and RMN Foundation the channels by which I was provided the opportunity to improve myself and be a better person. I will take inspiration from all the experiences I went through in Dualtech, so that I can fulfill my other dreams. I also want in the future to be an instrument for making other people’s dreams happen.” -Peter John “Jopeth” Canuza, 6th Henry R. Canoy Scholar
Dualtech Center, through its Partnerships and Programs Office, and RMN Foundation were invited at the radio program CENTRO SERBISYO (DZXL 558 kHz MANILA RADYO TRABAHO) hosted by Radio DJ Ms. Jenny Pahilanga last 31st of August 2022. During the radio guesting, the 2-years Electromechanics Technology course and the Dual Training System program were presented, highlighting its relevance to the industry, one of which is Enchanted Kingdom. In the show, Peter John Canuza, a scholar from Batangas, joined as the 6th Henry Canoy Foundation scholar.
Prior to his training in Dualtech, Peter John had units in college but then decided to shift to a course that offers actual or hands-on training. His father recommended Dualtech Center upon knowing from an alumnus of Dualtech the unique education model that the school offers – the dual training system approach by which trainees learn the trade skills in Electromechanics both in school and in the partner industries.
As an introduction to the Dual Training System, Mr. Leonard Calma, Manager for Linkages shared the Dual Training approach of Dualtech Center that combines theoretical and practical learning for its trainees. “It is called ‘Dual’ because the training happens in two (2) venues – the school and the company. In the 2-Year Electromechanics Technology course, the trainees undergo the basic training in Electrical, Mechanical, and Electronics trades and then proceed to the next phase of training which is at the industry partners venues”,
For 40 years, Dualtech was able to sustain its training program for thousands of its scholars through the collaboration with cooperating companies.
“Dualtech Center has partnerships with different organizations just like Radio Mindanao Network Foundation and Enchanted Kingdom. This partnership gives us the opportunity to train more deserving scholars that meet the technical manpower requirements of the industries”, Mr. Calma adds.
RMNF was represented by the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Officer Mr. Patrick Aurelio who shared the RMNF vision to continue the magic of the education program that is made available to the youth from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
