Fifteen Industry Partners recognized on Partners’ Recognition Day
On October 30, 2024, Dualtech Center recognized its industry partners for their years of partnership during its 42nd Foundation Anniversary, which coincided with the 30th anniversary of the Dual Training System (DTS) in the Philippines, established by the Dual Training System Act of 1994 (RA7686).
Partners’ Recognition Day not only celebrated the partnerships but also recognized the role that industry partners play in transforming young individuals into skilled professionals. Each partner received a plaque of appreciation from Dualtech.
Engr. Rodolfo V. Sta Ana III, Director for External Affairs at Dualtech, opened the ceremony with a message of gratitude, recognizing the support of industry partners and encouraging further collaboration to strengthen their shared efforts.
Scopro Optical Corporation was recognized for its 30 years of dedicated collaboration in training and employing Dualtech trainees over three decades.As a 20-year awardee, Amherst Laboratories, Inc. has prioritized Dualtech trainees for engineering and Quality Assurance roles, benefiting from their strong values formation. Ms. Laureen Mazon, Plant Administration, remarked, “They are easy to train, and the values formation provided by Dualtech makes a difference. Continue making a difference and continue helping with community and nation-building.”Cummins Sales and Services Philippines, Inc. witnessed its 15-year partnership, with Ms. Jean Estuesta, HR Manager, highlighting, “We have a need for talented, skilled technicians, and where do we get them? Of course, from Dualtech. Dualtech has always been our partner. A large percentage of our technicians come from Dualtech, and most of them have progressed and become successful because they were honed by Dualtech and our trainers. We do not treat them as interns but as part of the Cummins family—they are in our DNA.”TUV Rheinland Philippines, Inc. also marked 15 years of partnership, with Ma. Aileene Estonilo, HRD, noting, “I have noticed that Dualtech trainees are very competitive and well-mannered. From my observation, they are quick learners. We make sure they are well-equipped and fully utilized. Thank you for the opportunity and for this recognition.”Orthopaedic International Philippines, Inc. expressed appreciation for their 15-year partnership with Dualtech. President Mr. Jude Sasing shared, “We have hired many interns who have been absorbed and are now successful, even in other countries. We are happy to be part of their growth. The challenge for our company is that our employees are sometimes poached by others. Thank you, Dualtech, for the partnership, and we hope to collaborate more in the coming years.”Portion Fillers, Inc. marked a decade of collaboration. VP of Operations Mr. Jose Angelo Cervantes IV commented, “Most of the Dualtech trainees are assigned to our engineering department. Our relationship with Dualtech began with our father, and we hope it extends to the next generations as we value the values formation that Dualtech instills in its trainees.”Beaute et Science Laboratoires, Inc. celebrated 5 years of partnership, with Plant Head Mr. Joefrey Trovela stating, “We ensure that the training we provide for Dualtech trainees is beneficial, and they can apply everything they have learned wherever they go. We appreciate the values formation you have taught these trainees before they joined us, and we hope for many more years of partnership.”Duinus Smart Technology, Inc. has valued its 5-year collaboration with Dualtech. Ms. Michelle Francisco, HR and Admin Officer, expressed, “Thank you for the opportunity to witness this partnership in honing students to be not only technically competent but also to have values and character. We look forward to continuing this collaboration with you.”D&L Polymer & Colours, Inc. has been a partner also of Dualtech for 5 years, Sr. HR Specialist Ms. Mary Grace Lico gave her message during the awarding ceremony stating, “We thank Dualtech for this recognition, and I am happy to witness how competent Dualtech trainees are. Thank you again for the opportunity to collaborate, and we look forward to many more years.”First AVPR Venture, Inc. highlighted its 5-year partnership, with Business Manager Mr. Randy Bolohabo sharing, “I am grateful for this opportunity as I am also a graduate of a technical school like Dualtech. Hopefully, the trainees we hire can also become regular employees, and we hope some can be deployed to our site in Cebu.”Richville Hotel Management Inc. commemorated 5 years of working with Dualtech, with CSR Manager Maria Apo saying, “We are happy that some of our former trainees are now venturing to other countries. It is our mission to partner with Dualtech for values formation, and we hope that we can have more trainees as there are many companies where they can be deployed.”Savvy Blends Corporation also reflected on its 5-year partnership, as HR Manager Ms. Kristina Ramos remarked, “Thank you for the partnership. We have witnessed the progress of all the trainees, and we are pleased that this partnership has grown. I appreciate all the collaboration we have shared and look forward to many more years of partnership.”Zamperla Asia Pacific, Inc. acknowledged 5 years of collaboration, with HR & Administration Manager Ms. Mararely Gulapa noting, “Our training section is critical, but I am glad that the Dualtech trainees are able to keep up. Now, some of them have become regular employees in our section. I specifically sought out this partnership because I know that Dualtech trainees are well-crafted and come with strong values. Rest assured that we train them well, and wherever they go, they are technically skilled.”
Newton Electrical and Middleby Philippines were among the awardees for 20 and 15 years of partnership.
Following the awards ceremony, Dualtech provided updates on its latest programs, recent developments, and new initiatives designed to benefit its industry partners.
In his closing remarks, Engr. Jerry Webb Muhi, President and Executive Director of Dualtech, extended his gratitude to all industry partners. He encouraged them to continue providing feedback and exploring collaborative programs, reassuring them that Dualtech is committed to meeting their needs.
This Partners’ Recognition Day highlighted Dualtech’s dedication to working with its industry partners to provide training that integrates technical skills with values formation, educating well-rounded individuals who excel both in skill and character.
