Dualtech Holds Parents’ Formation Seminar in Negros Occidental
Dualtech Training Center held a Parents’ Formation Seminar in Negros Occidental, reaching Victorias City, Don Salvador Benedicto, La Carlota City, and Sipalay City.
The seminar aimed to help parents understand the significant role they have in their children’s education and formation. It emphasized that a student’s training is not theirs alone, but a shared effort between Dualtech and the parents who support them.
During the sessions, parents shared their own stories and experiences. One of them was Mr. Angel Dela Paz from La Carlota City, father of Cyril Jexzy Dela Paz, a Dualtech scholar currently undergoing his on-the-job training at Far East Advance Plastics Corporation. He shared how his son has become a more disciplined and determined young man since joining the Dualtech program. Despite the challenges, he continued to find ways to send financial assistance so his son could pursue his training and eventually achieve his aspirations in life.

Aside from the parents, the seminar also engaged officials from the Negros Occidental Scholarship Program (NOSP), DepEd Victorias, Don Salvador Benedicto Municipal Office, La Carlota City LGU, and Sipalay City LGU. All expressed their support for the initiative and emphasized the vital role of parents in guiding their children’s future.
Sipalay City Mayor Maria Gina M. Lizares encouraged parents to support and plan for their children’s future. She emphasized that local government units and scholarship programs cannot be the only ones hoping for the youth’s success—parents themselves must carry that vision and provide strong support.
The Parents’ Formation Seminar is a three-module program that continues to be implemented for all parents of Dualtech students. Through initiatives like this, Dualtech seeks not only to form skilled professionals but also to strengthen families who serve as the foundation of every student’s training.
