Dualtech Center visits Davao City, Sarangani, and South Cotabato to expand partnerships and programs in Mindanao

Dualtech Center visited Davao City, Sarangani, and South Cotabato, strengthening its mission to provide technical education and employment opportunities in Mindanao. The team’s efforts spanned initiatives, from engaging with communities in Sarangani and South Cotabato to forging partnerships with industry leaders in Davao City. These efforts bridge gaps in education and foster a skilled workforce.The team began their visit in Davao City, where they met with Regan Industrial Sales Inc., a sister company of Supreme Steel Pipe in Meycauayan, a Dualtech DTS partner. Discussions focused on expanding the partnership to Davao City to support Regan Industrial Sales in addressing the growing need for skilled workers in electromechanics. Dualtech and Regan Industrial Sales also discussed potential programs that will provide training for employees to meet the demands and requirements of the industry.

Regan Industrial Sales has been a reliable supplier and distributor of quality steel products for the Philippine market. Known for its diverse product lines, Regan Industrial Sales supports industries across construction, engineering, manufacturing, and more.The team also visited Barista Depot, a company specializing in high-quality espresso machines and coffee equipment. This visit reinforced Dualtech’s commitment to collaborating with businesses that share its vision of empowering individuals through skills training.In Malungon, Sarangani, Dualtech engaged with the the communities introducing its Electromechanics Technology program to senior high school students at Kiblat National High School. The visit, facilitated by Mr. Ariel Micoy, Community Coordinator, included an engagement with the Tribal Chieftain of the Blaan Tribe.The program garnered interest among SHS students, with a highlight being the Tribal Chieftain’s son, who is currently a Dualtech trainee undergoing in-plant training at General Tuna Corporation in General Santos City.

As part of the visit, the Dualtech team also paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Maria Theresa D. Constantino, Mayor of Malungon. They discussed the program’s details and explored integrating it into the municipality’s Lingap sa Barangay initiative, which focuses on livelihood development and community support activities.Dualtech representatives then visited Polomolok and met with Datu Marvin Salawa, the President of the Tribal Youth of the T’boli Tribe, an indigenous group from South Cotabato in Mindanao.During the meeting, the Dualtech representatives presented its Electromechanics Technology Program, highlighting its potential to provide technical skills to the T’boli youth. The discussion focused on how the program could be effectively introduced to the community, with an emphasis on equipping the youth with the skills needed to secure immediate employment after completing the training.

The collaborative exchange of ideas centered on fostering opportunities for sustainable livelihoods and empowerment within the tribe. Through these initiatives, Dualtech Center continues to strengthen its partnerships with industries and communities, reinforcing its commitment to equipping the youth with technical skills and values formation for sustainable employment.
