Dualtech Center and Palawan provincial government highlight scholarship success during visits and meetings

In an ongoing effort to support the youth of Palawan, Dualtech Center, in collaboration with officials from the Provincial Government of Palawan and through the SPS Alay sa Kabataan Scholarship Program, visited several communities. This initiative provided an opportunity to meet with parents and update them on their sons’ progress both in school and during their training with partner companies.

Dualtech representatives, together with the Palawan – SPS Alay sa Kabataan Program Officer, visited Equilibrium Intertrade Corporation. One of the highlights of this visit was Jonard Cabuguas, who is currently undergoing training at the company. His trainers praised him for his exceptional performance, noting his good attendance and proactive approach.

Jonard took the opportunity to express his gratitude for the support he has received, saying, “Through this scholarship program, we got to study at Dualtech. Thanks to the Provincial Government of Palawan for its SPS Alay sa Kabataan Program, we were given the opportunity to continue our education.”

Following this visit, Dualtech Center, in collaboration with officials from the Provincial Government of Palawan, held a meet-and-greet in Taytay, Palawan. This event recognized the achievements of scholars under the Palawan – SPS Alay sa Kabataan Program and highlighted the positive impact of the scholarship on their lives.

Various initiatives were discussed during the meeting, including home visits and company site visits where scholars are undergoing their on-the-job training (OJT). These initiatives aim to better understand the impact of the scholarship program and enhance its effectiveness.

Governor Socrates emphasized the program’s significance, stating, “This program is more than just providing financial assistance; it’s about investing in the future of our province and empowering our youth to reach their full potential.” During the event, parents expressed their appreciation for the support. Mrs. Luzviminda Maravilla, whose son John Diether is training at Suzuki Philippines Inc., shared, “This scholarship has been a great help, especially for me as a single parent. Thanks to this program, my son is now able to support our family.”

The program’s benefits extend beyond the scholars, positively impacting their families and the communities in Taytay, Palawan.

In addition, Dualtech and the Palawan SPS Alay sa Kabataan Program Officers conducted a career orientation in Barangay Sta. Teresita, Dumaran, Palawan. This event provided educational opportunities within the community and fostered connections with the families of the scholars. The team engaged in discussions about the scholars’ experiences and the role of parental support in their educational journey.

The success of the Palawan – SPS Alay sa Kabataan Program is evident in the number of beneficiaries it has supported. To date, over 30 scholars from Dumaran, Palawan have received assistance, demonstrating the program’s significant influence in the municipality and its ongoing commitment to community development.
