Concrete Pouring Ceremony Held for future Excellence Center Canlubang (ECC)

A simple Concrete Pouring Ceremony last June 14, 2023 signaled the start of construction of the future Excellence Center Canlubang (ECC). The gathering was held within the premises of Dualtech Training Center, Carmelray Industrial Park1, Canlubang.

Present at the ceremony were Engr. Jose Rhedden Paolo Bagain, Engr. Archie Yan, Arch. Mike Guerrero, Mr. Philip Valdecanas, and school President Engr. Jerry Webb Muhi. Guests and visitors were able to witness the work being done in the area.

Also present at the event was Dualtech chaplain; Fr. Jong Sabandal, who reminded everyone attending that “may we not only build a building, but may we also build character in the workplace.” He also encouraged everyone to thank “St. Jose Maria, the founder of Opus Dei because of his inspiration of telling people the importance of sanctifying work. And St. Joseph, because we know he is the patron of all workers for which we have here an image of his.”

Currently, Dualtech Center thanks those who have given their support and contribution to the project. But all the more because the project is underway, it continues to appeal for more support and material assistance. Among the important reasons is that the impact of this venue will be significant for the school and countless batches of students for years to come. The center will enhance the quality of professional, personal, and spiritual formation not only to the people of Carmelray but also in the surrounding industrial parks, communities and schools. The project is yet the only center of its kind in Calamba City and surrounding municipalities and cities in the Province of Laguna.

Once completed, the building will have spaces for a variety of events and activities. The ground floor lobby leading to the main hall is for plenary sessions, and the smaller function rooms are for break-out sessions. Larger function rooms can accommodate meetings, seminars, conferences, and exhibitions areas for partners.

The ECC will rise on a 720 square meter lot with a total floor area of 1,926 square meters. One main feature is the Oratory which is expected to have high foot traffic. The center will provide Dualtech with the venue where techno-practitioners can mentor young men and budding professionals to acquire continuing professional and values education, social responsibility, and spiritual maturity.
