Community Relations orient more Alburanons in Bohol on Dualtech
Also popularly known as “Albur”, Alburquerque is a coastal municipality of Bohol. Located just 12kms. from Tagbilaran City next to Baclayon, Bohol, the town is rich in both natural wonders and in the heritage of micro local industries. And now in collaboration with Dualtech, Albur is beginning to have youth skilled Electromechanics competency as one of its towns people’s key assets.
Through the testimonials of the parents of some Dualtech graduates, more families in the LGU are getting to know more about the dual training advantage. And so recently, various DepEd officials, together with Mayor Don Ritchie P. Buates, organized a Dualtech orientation last December, 2023. Many LGU and barangay officials, school heads, principals, and PTA presidents learned about Dualtech during the orientation held at San Roque National High School.
One of the most discussed stories of the trip was the trainee, Bryan Castillo, who is now employed at H&E Manufacturing Corporation in Cabuyao, Laguna. His mother, Mrs. Shirley Castillo, was grateful for her son’s experience in Dualtech Center and how he was helped during the difficult months of the pandemic.
Another testimonial during the orientation came from Mr. Alex Buslon, one of the graduates from Bohol, who shared his experience at Dualtech. He emphasized the training at Dualtech on how he learned electrical, mechanical, and electronics skills. He also reflected on the impact of the training on his life and his character.
Mrs. Castillo was one of those who wondered out loud when Dualtech could promote the 2-year Electromechanics course in their town. Eventually, she relayed her testimonial to Ma’am Polyvie T. Francisco a District GAD Focal Person of DepEd. Mrs. Francisco, in turn, coordinated together with the LGU and DepEd of Alburquerque, Bohol on how to help their youth to have more employment opportunities. This led to Dualtech being invited to promote the 2 year Electromechanics Technology Course.
Also present to give testimonies of the actual impact of the program were the former teachers of some trainees. Some teachers from ALS EPS II narrated how Dualtech impacted their former learners. Ma’am Helen N. Rocamora and Ma’am Julia Macas who already know the program of Dualtech for the past few years gave their testimony how Dualtech helped their learners and changed their lives.
