Apatnapu, Salamat Po! Dualtech Alumni Homecoming 2022

“We started the celebration for Dualtech’s 40 years anniversary; a year long commemoration. Now we are having the Alumni Homecoming! From Dualtech’s journey from Manila up to here in Laguna, the schools’ reason for existence is validated by the triumphs, achievements and careers the alumni have charted…”
-Mr. Arnolfo S. Morfe, President of Dualtech
On October 30, 2022 (Sunday), Dualtech Alumni Association, Inc. (DAAI) held the Homecoming event. Not even Typhoon Paeng that struck the region with heavy rains and floods could dampen the enthusiasm.
The event started with a Mass at the chapel celebrated by Fr. Manny Manggao; also a Dualtech alumnus. His homily revolved around giving chances– this is a mirror to how their Alma Mater gave opportunities to these former students who had to bear witness to the possibilities opened through their studying in Dualtech. After the Mass, everyone went up to the Assembly Hall wearing their shirts with the logo stating “Apatnapu, Salamat Po!”, with silver gears and ruby-red colored numbers to symbolize the forty (40) years of Dualtech. Moving along from table to table, the alumni greeted each other, their former teachers and officers of Dualtech.
The event was hosted by Mr. Ramon “Mhon” F. Domiquil, Dualtech alumnus, together with Mr. Rommel F. Guinto (Industrial Coordinator, Dualtech) and Mr. Reynante U. Pilar (Mentoring Coordinator, Dualtech & Treasurer, DAAI).
Alumni all throughout the world– even from South Korea, Canada, Dubai, and Taiwan participated in and sent their messages of how Dualtech was part of their success and how they were guided and taught to be good people and responsible professionals, and now, also good family men.
DAAI President Francisco “Kiko” Garcia spearheaded the DAAI Board of Directors’ elections having led the Comelec and announced the winners namely:
- Mr. Donn Bryan B. Tolentino (Section C-362, Graduated 2015)
- Mr. Dario C. Tolentino Jr. (Section A-13, Graduated 1992)
- Mr. Christopher C. Atip (Section A-85, Graduated 2001)
- Mr. Jefferson C. Gonzales (Section CRT-07, Graduated 2000)
- Mr. Winefredo I. Tac-an (Section C-619.2, Graduated 2021)
The new set of Board of Directors will organize activities, projects, and events for Dualtech alumni, for the upcoming members of the association, and for the next Dualtech scholars. The get-together reminded the Dualtech alumni the lessons from the “Running Boy” that despite the typhoon and unfortunate circumstances, they will find a way to respond to the call of being a “Tatak Dualtech”. One who is always ready to bear the challenges, to respond to the call of duty, and to achieve success in any circumstances. The tradition continues with the next generations.
