Another batch that enrolled during pandemic finally completes 2-year course

“In the middle of many hardships, I decided I would lose little in leaving behind the familiar, to face uncertain challenges ahead. And I also reached the point of questioning whether I chose the best option. But whenever tiredness undermines my motivation, I ask myself: How else would I grow? If my top source of discouragement is myself, I would achieve nothing.”

Christian John D. Villaco shared the above sentiments in his speech before his fellow batchmates, as they all attended their Commencement Exercises last March 25, 2023. The ceremony recognized the 87 work-trainees of Dualtech who have completed the requirements for the 2-year dual-training diploma course in Electromechanics Technology.
Christian took time to thank SABPPTECH SERVICES INCORPORATED, where he did his on-the-job training, and Mr. Jerry Sabacajan, the company’s owner who is himself a Dualtech graduate.
The school is currently still continuing to celebrate its 40th founding anniversary, with the theme “Developing Character Through Work: Educating Through Collaboration”.The commencement exercises is thus a good thanksgiving opportunity. Mr. Arnolfo S. Morfe, the school president, led the tribute and honor to the Yulo Family for being a major benefactor having assisted Dualtech in reaching the 40th year milestone.

The speech of Ms. Maria Rosario Yulo-Ng as guest speaker was another highlight as the Yulo family’s legacy was once more called to mind. The valuable role of the family of Mrs. Carmen Yulo began with their donation of land for Dualtech’s Ramon Yulo Campus in Carmelray Industrial Park in Canlubang, Calamba City in 1991.This gesture gave the institution the means to carry out its pioneering work in adapting the Dual Training System in the Philippines. To date, this has benefited over 14,000 young mechanics and over 30,000 workers trained in Dualtech.
Ma’m Chari, as she is also known to many, continued her speech by addressing the alumni of the bigger role they will soon play, “that Dualtech is now promoting the alumni to be the backbone of the school.” After this, Mr. Winefredo Tac-an, an officer of the Dualtech Alumni Association, led the oath taking of the graduates as new members of the Dualtech Center Alumni Association.
Also present at the event were Mr. Brian Yulo-Ng, son of Ma’am Ma. Rosario “Chari” Yulo-Ng; the Lao Foundation’s Ms Sheena Fidelson, Mr. Carlo Racela, Ms. Pauline Francisco and Mr. Johniel Tuando with some scholars-alumni; Ms. Antonia Guia Dui, HR Manager of Aurotech Corporation; Ms. Cecil Algabre, HR Manager of Hizon Laboratories with their graduates.
