I also encourage every graduate to have the spirit of giving back to our alma mater and that we continuously support more enrollees and the institution even after we graduate. In fact, I am that confident that my team consist of 100% Dualtech graduates on my team now as the Director of Engineering.”

As a testament to Dualtech’s formation, one of its Outstanding Alumni, Mr. Dario C. Tolentino, Jr. delivered an address to the graduates as guest of honor and speaker in the Commencement exercises of Dualtech this July 2022. Mr. Tolentino is the Director of Engineering in Middleby Philippines Corporation, producing innovative kitchen equipment focused on the Food & Beverage Service line. He is also the one who pushed and inspired the organizers of Dualtech’s Alumni Riders’ Club being a big-bike aficionado himself. Prior to the pandemic, he advocated for several events which provided monetary support to Dualtech as a way of giving back to his alma matter.

Dario possessed the heart of giving back, an important trait of looking back and helping the ones who were there from the beginning. Holding true in himself the values he learnt at school back in the days, he eventually rose through the ranks in their company; made with his diligence in work to do things precisely and hastily. He told the graduates to also envibe this kind of characteristic, and to always keep in their heart that Dualtech has an integral role on any good future which will unfold to them in the years to come.

Dualtech President, Mr. Arnolfo Morfe, also recounted when Dario was among his students alongside the A-13 class; a simple melancholic time when Dualtech was still in its early years in Laguna. They shared that they would share a can of sardines for lunch, and that back then, the trainees would locate their own company which changed now as the school now locates training deployment where they also receive allowance. Looking back, Dario remembered he would walk far distances just to get to his training. Now he is an accomplished Director of Engineering, he is proud to say that he is also recruiting 100% Dualtech graduates among his team and that each product they produced reaches not only the local industry but also in an international level with its high quality; surely a hallmarks of a TATAKDUALTECH.

Before the Commencement Exercises, Fr. Jong Sabandal had a mass which entailed this homily about letting the weed grow alongside the wheat for you may also reap early the good ones alongside the bad ones. This is analogous to the July graduates who are comparable to good wheat, seemingly harvested at the right time. During ones’ earlier years, it is indeed too early to judge for you may ‘uproot’ them from their true purpose. Allow time to progress, and have them carry on the right virtues and convictions which Dualtech never forgets to impart with the graduates.
