Carmen Bohol LGU Visits Dualtech, Meets Scholars and Explores Industry Training

Dualtech Training Center welcomed officials from the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Carmen, Bohol, led by Hon. Mayor Conchita Toribio-Delos Reyes, along with Education Committee Chairs from the barangay, municipal, and provincial levels. During the visit, Dualtech presented its Electromechanics Technology Program, highlighting the technical skills, work values, and career opportunities it provides to aspiring trainees.Mayor Toribio-Delos Reyes expressed her appreciation and support for the program and met with four current Dualtech trainees from Carmen, Bohol, who shared their experiences, including their lives in Carmen and their progress throughout their training at Dualtech. The delegation also toured the Dualtech campus, where they observed trainees engaged in hands-on activities and gained a closer look at how technical education, practical training, and work values are integrated into the program.

To further familiarize the officials with the training program, the team also organized an a factory tour at its industry partner. This gave the delegates an opportunity to see firsthand how the skills developed through training are applied in an actual workplace.D&L Premium Foods (DLPF) welcomed the guests through its HR and Safety team and presented a brief company profile, including an update on its scholarship partnership with Dualtech. DLPF manufactures a variety of specialty food oils and ingredients for different food market segments and industries. The guests were then given a tour of the facility, where they observed actual production processes and saw the technical skills required in a manufacturing environment. The tour highlighted the technical training and hands-on experience in Electromechanics Technology provided to Dualtech trainees.One of the highlights of the visit was the story of Mr. Jade J. Jumantoc, a trainee from Carmen, Bohol, and a Lao Foundation scholar. He shared how he joined Dualtech with the goal of gaining skills and building a better future while helping support his family in the province. His story gave the visiting officials a personal perspective on how scholarship and industry-based training can create opportunities for young people from their community.The LGU officials from Carmen expressed their appreciation to Dualtech and D&L Premium Foods for providing Boholano youth with opportunities to pursue education and gain hands-on training. For Dualtech and D&L, supporting scholars is part of their education-to-employment program, helping more youth pursue education and develop the skills they need to succeed in the workplace and in life.
