Dualtech’s First Commencement of 2026: Recognizing Excellence, Perseverance, and Achievement
Last January 30, 2026, Dualtech Training Center held its first Commencement Exercises for the year for 121 graduates of the Electromechanics Technology program.
The ceremony was attended by guests, including officials from the Department of Education (DepEd) Panglao and Alburquerque, Bohol. Industry partners were also present, including representatives from Amherst Laboratories Inc., Asia Global Technologies Inc., Licton Industrial Corporation, Tanduay Distillers Inc., Rotary Club of Makati, Marubeni Scholarship Foundation Inc., Del Monte Foundation, Consuelo “Chito” Madrigal Foundation, Inc., and Lao Foundation, Inc., who witnessed the graduation of their trainees and scholars.
Batch Representative Janrick Paul Espiritu from Bay, Laguna delivered a message that reflected gratitude, perseverance, and faith. In his speech, Janrick reflected on how he was shaped by God’s guidance, his family’s sacrifices, and the discipline he developed at Dualtech Training Center.
He emphasized that every challenge, rejection, and unfamiliar path became part of God’s redirection toward growth and purpose. A scholar supported by the Rotary Club of Makati and trained at Seijutsu Electronics Inc., Janrick shared how Dualtech equipped him with both technical competence and life values. From adapting to a technical field beyond his original background to gaining real industry exposure, he highlighted how these experiences prepared him for the demands of the workplace and beyond.
He encouraged the batch to move forward with humility, faith, and courage, carrying with them the lessons of Dualtech as they face the next chapter of their lives.
Dir. Jovencio M. Ferrer, Jr., Regional Director for TESDA Region IV-A (CALABARZON), delivered an inspiring message as the guest speaker during the Commencement Exercises.
RD Ferrer highlighted their resilience, dedication, and readiness to face the challenges of the workforce. He told the graduates that he did not see just students in uniforms, but survivors who had chosen a challenging path. RD Ferrer emphasized that through their training, the graduates have become part of the solution to a national challenge—bridging the gap between degree holders and the skills demanded by the industry.
Through Enterprise-Based Training, students did not merely study for exams, they trained for real careers. Engr. Ferrer challenged the graduates to carry the weight of their beginnings, to turn struggles into motivation, and to show that Technical-Vocational education is a pathway to excellence. He reminded them that the hands of Dualtech graduates—though calloused and tired—are the hands that build nations.
He also emphasized the importance of lifelong learning. With industries evolving rapidly through automation, AI, and green technology, graduates must continue improving their skills. He urged them to think like engineers, act with the heart of a servant, and use their competencies to lift their families out of poverty.
In closing, RD Ferrer reminded the graduates to take pride not merely in their certificates, but in having survived the training that tempers the strong. He called the graduates the elite force of the Philippine workforce and encouraged them to embrace the opportunities ahead. “The factories are waiting, the industries are calling, and your future is finally within your grasp. Go forward and demonstrate the true skill and excellence of Dualtech.” RD Ferrer said.
Dualtech also recognized Mariecris P. Bangate, a parent who successfully completed the Parents’ Formation Seminar program, which covered three modules on education, parenting, and career guidance.
Dualtech alumnus and current Mentoring Supervisor, Mr. Joshua T. Tinong, led the oath-taking of the graduates as new members of the Dualtech Center Alumni Association.
