Dualtech and Ibiden’s outreach activities in Bohol
In line with its commitment to expanding access to industry-relevant education and strengthening partnerships with public and private stakeholders, Dualtech Training Center, together with Ibiden Philippines, conducted a series of career talks and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives across the province of Bohol.
The Department of Education (DepEd) Bohol welcomed Dualtech Training Center and Ibiden Philippines. The visit began with a meeting with the DepEd Division of Bohol, where the team met with Dr. Fay C. Luarez, Schools Division Superintendent, together with key DepEd personnel who support Dualtech’s promotion and advocacy in the province.
Following the visit, the group conducted a career talk and CSR activity at Loon South Central Elementary School. The session, titled “Exploring Career Pathways and Opportunities with Dualtech Center,” was attended by ALS and high school students. During the session, Dualtech presented its Electromechanics program, highlighting successful graduates from Loon who are now employed and absorbed by EEI Corporation and ITO-Seisakusho.
In Loon North, another courtesy visit and career talk were conducted at the district audio-visual hall. The activity was attended by school leaders, ALS teachers, PTA officers, LGU representatives, and Municipal Mayor Hon. Cesar Tomas “Yul” M. Lopez and Vice Mayor Hon. Engr. Jorge “Dondon” Marapao. As part of the CSR initiative, Ibiden Philippines Inc. also turned over laptop donations to support digital learning and assist both teachers and learners in their academic activities.
The team also attended the DepEd Bohol Stakeholders’ Summit, ‘PASALIPAY,’ held in Tagbilaran City. During the event, Dualtech received a Plaque of Recognition from DepEd Bohol in acknowledgment of the continued support and partnership in providing training and employment opportunities for learners.
The team continued its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives in Garcia Hernandez. The event was attended by local officials, school administrators, parents, and students. Ibiden Philippines also facilitated a laptop donation for ALS teacher.
The team then visited Mabini and Candijay, where a series of career talks and CSR activities were conducted. The team also visited Santa Monica Institute in Mabini to formally turn over laptop donations, as endorsed by Mr. Allan Datahan, PEZA Deputy Zone Administrator and an alumnus of the institution.
Dualtech then proceeded to the Provincial Capitol in Tagbilaran City, where Dualtech met with Mr. Metodio B. Maraguinot Jr., Supervising Administrative Officer, to present Dualtech’s programs. Initial discussions were also held regarding the possibility of a provincial scholarship program for Bohol for SY 2025–2026, modeled after similar programs in other provinces.
Career talks and CSR activities were extended in Clarin and Calape. In Clarin, the session titled “Navigating the Next Economy with Resilience, Skills, and Digital Influence” was attended by students, school officials, and local government leaders. Dualtech also received a Plaque of Appreciation for conducting the district career guidance symposium.
In Calape, a career talk titled ‘Exploring Career Pathways and Opportunities’ was held, attended by students, parents, teachers, and LGU officials. Local leaders expressed strong support and committed to sponsoring trainees for enrollment at Dualtech, citing the success of graduates from their municipality.
The series of engagements strengthened collaboration with DepEd, local government units, and industry partners, while expanding CSR assistance for ALS teachers and learners, opening more opportunities for Boholano youth to pursue careers in technical industries.
