School officials and teachers from Masinloc, Zambales witness the dual training program of Dualtech with Ibiden Philippines
A group of officials and teachers from Masinloc, Zambales, who had previously received laptop donations from Ibiden Philippines, visited Dualtech Center. Their visit aimed to bring a new batch of scholars, tour the campus, observe the in-plant training program, and witness the commencement exercises. These educators, who are also volunteer coordinators, endorse scholar-trainees from the province.
During their visit, the guests from Zambales had the opportunity to tour Ibiden Philippines in Sto. Tomas, Batangas. They attended a presentation by Ibiden, which provided insights into the CSR activities and training programs that scholar-trainees undergo as part of the dual training system.
Ms. Angelita Mercado, Senior Manager of Human Resources & General Affairs at Ibiden Philippines, welcomed the representatives from Zambales. In her remarks, she highlighted the company’s ongoing partnership with Dualtech as one of its most impactful initiatives, benefiting many deserving individuals. “There are always inspiring stories to tell during visits to various locations. These narratives, often accompanied by Dualtech, highlight the ongoing positive impact of our joint efforts,” Ms. Mercado said. She emphasized Ibiden’s commitment to continuous improvement, noting that their programs are designed to build a strong foundation for future generations.
On behalf of Dualtech Center, Engr. Rodolfo Sta. Ana, Director for External Affairs, shared a message of collaboration and outlined upcoming CSR activities planned in partnership with Ibiden. “With this partnership with Ibiden, we can share a lot more with the youth and the community we are going to visit,” Engr. Sta. Ana said.
The visit was a significant moment for the educators from Zambales. Mr. Fernando Quedes, School Head of Coto High School in Masinloc, expressed gratitude to the Ibiden group for their generous donation of laptops, which have been instrumental in their educational programs. He highlighted the impact of the donation on their school’s initiatives, noting that strong partnerships, like the one with Dualtech, are essential to enhancing the quality of education.
Similarly, Mr. John Sypher Empeño, Principal of San Salvador High School in Masinloc, pointed out that the activities organized by Ibiden and Dualtech align closely with the Career Guidance Program. This initiative helps ensure that students are well-prepared for their educational journey, from basic education to their career exit after completing senior high school.
Mr. Jeffrey M. Ecalnir, representing ALS Teachers, emphasized the importance of Middle-Level Skills Development, a pathway supported through Dualtech that will greatly benefit from the partnership with Ibiden. “Thank you for the opportunity to benefit from your support, and we look forward to the continued growth of this valuable partnership,” Mr. Ecalnir said.
Reflecting on the evolving partnership between Ibiden and Dualtech, Mr. Leonard Calma, Manager for Linkages at Dualtech Center, discussed the achievements made so far and the goals they aim to reach in the future.
Atty. Racquel Ros from the Executive Office of Ibiden Philippines delivered the closing remarks, expressing heartfelt thanks to the visitors from Zambales and acknowledging the significance of their collaboration with Dualtech. “Thank you for giving us the opportunity to partner with you [Zambales Team] and Dualtech,” Atty. Ros said.
As Ibiden approaches its 25th anniversary, this partnership holds special meaning. “Without Dualtech, maybe we would have had a more limited footprint, but Dualtech gave us an opportunity to level up our community work.” Recognizing the role that Dualtech has played in expanding their community outreach, the CSR collaboration has already reached Quezon, Bukidnon, Palawan, Zambales, and Negros Occidental, with plans to extend to Bohol.
In closing, Atty. Ros expressed sincere appreciation for Dualtech and the Zambales guests for their collaboration in enhancing community-focused efforts.
