Dualtech Training Center Meets Partners in Cebu
As part of its continued efforts to expand opportunities for the youth, Dualtech Training Center conducted a series of engagements in Cebu to strengthen partnerships with the education and industry sectors. The visit included meetings with DepEd Cebu, industry partners, and trainees to promote technical education, explore collaboration opportunities, and support the continuous development of scholars.
The team paid a courtesy visit to the DepEd Mandaue City Division and presented its Electromechanics Technology Program for the youth. The meeting provided an opportunity to introduce Dualtech’s training approach and discuss how the program equips students with industry-relevant skills and prepares them for employment.
The team also visited JVAZCO in Cebu to monitor the progress of its trainees. During the visit, they met with Mr. Bernard Cañaveral, the supervisor overseeing Dualtech trainees in Cebu, who provided updates on their performance and overall progress. The team likewise held a brief kumustahan with the trainees to check on their working conditions, adjustment to the workplace, and overall training experience.
The trainees shared that they are adapting well to the work environment while continuously developing their technical skills through hands-on training. They are currently involved in a floor polishing project, where they are gaining experience in concrete flatwork, concrete polishing, and decorative concrete finishing, including concrete staining.
In a separate engagement, the Dualtech team met with Asia Global Material Handling (AGT) to explore opportunities for trainee deployment. During the discussion, the team presented Dualtech’s training program and shared the performance and training experiences of current trainees assigned to AGT Cavite.
Representatives from AGT expressed the company’s commitment to continuous learning and professional development, emphasizing that learning is an ongoing process. They also conveyed their interest in the training program and shared that, through a partnership with Dualtech, trainees would gain hands-on experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy-duty equipment.
The visit also provided an opportunity to further strengthen Dualtech’s partnerships with its industry collaborators while ensuring the welfare and continuous development of trainees in the workplace.
The engagements in Cebu reaffirmed Dualtech’s commitment to building partnerships with DepEd and industry while providing scholars with quality, industry-based training that prepares them for employment.
