Dualtech Training Center Connects with Communities in Camarines Sur
Dualtech Training Center continued its efforts to bring technical education and career opportunities to Camarines Sur through a series of community visits, career orientations, and partnership-building activities. The team visited communities and schools in Garchitorena and Caramoan to introduce training programs and explore opportunities for collaboration with local government units and schools.
The visit began in the Municipality of Garchitorena, where a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed to provide training and employment opportunities for the municipality’s youth. The collaboration aims to equip scholars with industry-relevant competencies and open pathways to apprenticeship and employment with Dualtech’s partner companies.
Municipal Mayor Hon. Nelson Bueza expressed his full support for the partnership, emphasizing that the program offers better opportunities for the youth to build stable careers. Since last year, the LGU has been endorsing scholars from Garchitorena to Dualtech, many of whom are now undergoing apprenticeship training in various multinational partner companies.
The team then proceeded to Barangay Binagasbasan, where they were welcomed by barangay officials who gathered students and their parents for a career orientation. Dualtech introduced its training programs and discussed its industry-based training approach, highlighting the opportunities available through its network of partner companies.
From Garchitorena, the team continued its outreach activities in the Municipality of Caramoan, where it visited schools and communities to further introduce Dualtech to young people.
The team visited Bikal Fisheries School in Caramoan, Camarines Sur, to conduct a career orientation for its learners. School officials welcomed the Dualtech team and gathered Junior and Senior High School learners for the activity. Dualtech presented its training programs, highlighting the opportunities they provide for skills development, industry exposure, and employment, including opportunities for graduates of Bikal Fisheries School.
The school head and a teacher also shared their experiences as parents of graduating students who have undergone training at Honda Philippines. They shared how the training helped their children develop practical skills, gain industry experience, and become better prepared for future employment opportunities. Dualtech and Bikal Fisheries School also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to provide training, career development, and employment opportunities for the school’s learners.
The group continued its career orientation at Borebor Senior High School, where the teaching staff organized the activity and gathered Senior High School students to learn more about industry-based training approach and potential career opportunities through its partner companies.
Dualtech introduced the students to career opportunities in the electrical, mechanical, and electronics trades while highlighting the benefits of combining in-school training with industry-based training. Many students expressed interest in enrolling in the program, recognizing the opportunities it offers for employment with industry partners.
The team also visited Guijalo National High School, where they met with Senior High School students to introduce the Electromechanics Technology Program. The discussion gave students a closer look at the hands-on learning experience, technical competencies, and workplace preparation that can help them transition from school to the world of work.
The students recognized that there are opportunities beyond the traditional career paths of agriculture and education. Through the Dualtech program, they were introduced to career possibilities in the industrial sector, giving them a broader perspective on the opportunities available to them after Senior High School.
The outreach continued at the Local Government Unit (LGU) Municipal Hall, where the team met with Hon. Marilyn Socorro Co, Municipal Mayor of Caramoan, Camarines Sur, who expressed her support for the Dualtech program.
During the visit, Dualtech presented its training program to the barangay chairpersons of Caramoan. The officials expressed their interest in encouraging more young people from their respective barangays to pursue technical training at Dualtech.
As part of the CSR activity, Dualtech turned over donations from Century Pacific Food and Monde Nissin to the communities of Garchitorena and Caramoan, providing additional support to local families.
The series of visits strengthened partnerships with local communities, schools, and local government units in Camarines Sur. Through these collaborations, Dualtech aims to help more young people access technical training, gain industry experience, and pursue employment opportunities.
