Dualtech reaches out to Davao Region to meet Industry Partners and TESDA for EBET Program
As part of its ongoing efforts to expand training opportunities and strengthen industry collaboration, Dualtech Center visited the Davao Region to engage with industry partners and TESDA Regional Office. The visit aimed to identify potential sites for technical training, promote the Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) Program, and respond to the growing demand for skilled technicians in the region.
The Dualtech team first visited Besterm International Corporation in Davao, a leading supplier of kitchen equipment in Mindanao. The team toured the company’s office and warehouse to gain insights into its operations. During the visit, Besterm expressed its need for skilled technicians to support growing client demands, highlighting the potential for partnership in technical training and workforce development.
The team also visited Allegro Beverage, which is currently in need of service technicians for its Mindanao operations, and GMAC Logitech Refrigeration Corporation, a cold storage facility located near the Port of Davao. GMAC Logitech shared its plans for expansion and its intention to tap Dualtech trainees to support its operations once the new facility becomes operational.
These visits highlight the demand for technically skilled workers in the Davao Region and reinforce the value of enterprise-based education in providing students with hands-on experience while contributing to the growth of local industries.
The group also paid a courtesy visit to Regional Director Ramon Evan T. Ruiz of TESDA Region XI in Davao City to explore potential collaboration under the Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) Program. The discussion focused on Dualtech’s support in facilitating the registration of partner companies in the region, aiming to expand access to technical-vocational education and training.
The meeting highlighted Dualtech Center’s commitment to working closely with TESDA offices nationwide, particularly in advancing their shared goal of empowering the youth through quality technical education. Through its support in implementing the EBET program, Dualtech aims to help produce well-trained technicians who can meet the workforce needs of local industries in Region XI.
