Dualtech Center visits Surigao del Sur and Agusan del Sur to present career opportunities in Electromechanics Technology
Dualtech Center visited Surigao del Sur and Agusan del Sur to share career opportunities with students and their families. Through a series of career talks and community visits, the team introduced its Electromechanics Technology program—an opportunity that equips youth with technical skills for stable jobs and long-term careers in the technical field.
The team conducted a career talk in Nazareth Village, Tagbina, Surigao del Sur, where the group introduced the Electromechanics Technology program to local students and their families. This initiative was made possible through the support of Fr. Glenn Acosta, Parish Priest of San Pedro Calungsod Parish in Purok 1, Sta. Juana, Tagbina.
The career talk was attended by senior high school graduates and their parents, who showed interest in the opportunities presented. Many participants expressed appreciation for learning how technical training can lead to stable employment and long-term career growth.
After the visit to Tagbina, Surigao del Sur, the team—together with Mr. June Carlo L. Tolentino, a Dualtech alumnus and now a Learning Facilitator at Dualtech Center—returned to his hometown in Barobo, Agusan del Sur to present the Electromechanics Technology Program to the local community.
The group worked closely with local coordinators in visiting nearby schools and institutions to introduce the training program and the career opportunities it offers. This initiative demonstrates the impact of Dualtech’s training—not only in shaping skilled professionals, but also in inspiring graduates to become role models within their own communities.
The team then conducted a courtesy visit to the Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) in Bunawan and the Municipality of Trento in Agusan del Sur. The visit aimed to introduce Dualtech’s Electromechanics Technology course to students and local leaders.
At ASSCAT, the Dualtech team engaged with the Dean, faculty members, and graduating students from the College of Engineering and Information Sciences. The discussion focused on the program’s key features—practical training, values formation, and career opportunities—emphasizing how the Electromechanics Technology course equips students for local and international employment.
In Trento, the team met with the Executive Secretary and the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator. The meeting focused on the importance of technical-vocational education and how the Electromechanics Technology program could help address youth employment needs in the area.
This engagement marks a step toward collaboration—bringing relevant skills training and career development opportunities closer to the youth of Agusan del Sur.
The response from students, families, and local leaders highlights the growing interest in technical-vocational education. More than just presenting a program, Dualtech’s visit showed how training can change lives—and how graduates can give back by inspiring others in their own communities.
