Dualtech Center honors graduates, PRC passers, and Masinloc Zambales community at commencement ceremony with Styrotech Corporation
At the commencement ceremony, Dualtech Center recognized 90 dual training system (DTS) trainees who earned their diplomas for the 2-year Electromechanics Technology course. The event was attended by guests from industry partners including Honda Philippines and Super Candy Corporation.
Mr. John Reu Godilla, the batch representative and an Outstanding In-school Performance Awardee, gave an address on behalf of the graduates. John Reu acknowledged the graduates’ hard work and their families’ sacrifices. He shared his own challenges, including the loss of his brother, which deepened his perspective on life and the importance of cherishing loved ones. Through his personal journey, John Reu emphasized the importance of family, perseverance, and gratitude.
John Reu concluded his speech with an inspiring message to his fellow graduates: “I wish all of you the best in life! Each of us is unique and has an amazing set of skills and abilities. Use them, have faith, and work hard. We might fail, it’s okay, because success creates ego but failure creates character.”
His words resonated with the audience, serving as a reminder of the ability to overcome adversity and find strength in past experiences. John Reu Godilla was trained at Tritooling Precision and is a scholar of Mr. Eduardo Barreto.
Styrotech Corporation’s Chief Operating Officer, Wellington C. Yu, delivered an inspiring speech as the guest of honor and speaker to the Electromechanics Technology graduates. His address focused on the importance of leadership, courage, and the pursuit of ambitious goals, offering valuable life lessons to the new graduates.
Mr. Yu began by sharing his personal journey to becoming COO, emphasizing that success is not solely about intellect but also about experience and perseverance. He highlighted the importance of open communication and collaboration in leadership, stressing that “No leader should instill fear in their subordinates by ignoring their voices.”
Addressing the graduates, Mr. Yu encouraged them to reflect on their life’s purpose and their potential contributions to their families, society, and their chosen professions. “Aim high, or even higher,” he urged. “If you fail, don’t lose hope. It’s not about how you feel about your failures today but how you recover from them. Face your fears, learn from your mistakes, and strive to improve.”
In conclusion, Mr. Yu expressed his hope that his experiences would serve as a source of inspiration for the graduates. He congratulated them on reaching this milestone and urged them to continue forward with a sense of gratitude and determination.
