Dualtech Center, Del Monte Foundation, and Yamaha Motor reach out to fisherfolk and farmers in Misamis Oriental and Bukidnon

In a shared mission to empower local communities, Del Monte Foundation, Dualtech Training Center, and Yamaha Motor Philippines collaborated to extend support to fisherfolk and farmers in Misamis Oriental and Bukidnon.

Through a series of corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, the team visited community associations and turned over essential equipment to help strengthen sustainable livelihood and environmental conservation efforts. The team first visited the Fisher Folks and Mangrove Planters Association in Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental. The association is composed of local fishermen and community members dedicated to the protection and rehabilitation of mangrove areas along Gingoog Bay. Gingoog City is one of the key coastal areas in Misamis Oriental that benefits from mangrove reforestation efforts and sustainable livelihood initiatives.Del Monte Foundation introduced the team to the community beneficiaries who will receive power products and water pumps donated by Yamaha Motor Philippines. Del Monte also organized a short turnover program and discussed how these donations would contribute to the community’s mangrove rehabilitation efforts. The donation will enhance the capacity of fisherfolk to sustain their livelihood while preserving the coastal environment.

During the visit, Dualtech Training Center emphasized the value of its partnership with Del Monte Foundation and Yamaha Motor Philippines, which has grown beyond scholarship and on-the-job training (OJT) programs to now include community-based and livelihood initiatives through CSR collaboration.On the other hand, Yamaha Motor Philippines shared about its CSR programs and expressed its support to communities through the donation of its products, benefiting local associations such as the farmers’ and fisherfolk groups.

The team continued its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives in Bukidnon. In Malaybalay City, the beneficiaries were the Corn Growers Association in Brgy. Dalwangan and the Vegetable Farmers Association in Brgy. Patpat.The Corn Growers Association is composed of local corn farmers who work together to improve crop production and sustain their families’ livelihoods. The Vegetable Farmers Association provides a collective platform for its members to market their produce, manage shared resources, and adopt sustainable farming practices suited to the highland climate of Malaybalay.

The team also visited Cabanglasan, Bukidnon, home to diverse farming communities that rely on corn, rice, root crops, and vegetable production as their primary sources of income.The Del Monte Foundation, together with partner barangay officials, hosted the turnover ceremony of power products and water pumps donated by Yamaha Motor Philippines.  The donations are expected to enhance irrigation systems, reduce manual workload, and boost farmland productivity, helping the associations sustain their agricultural operations more efficiently.

During the program, Dualtech highlighted its partnership with Del Monte Foundation and Yamaha Motor Philippines. In addition to the donation, Dualtech also invited the beneficiaries to send scholars to enroll in Dualtech’s training programs.Yamaha Motor Philippines shared about its CSR activities and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting local communities through programs and the use of its products.

The CSR activities in Misamis Oriental and Bukidnon highlight how collaborations with Del Monte Foundation, Dualtech Training Center, and Yamaha Motor Philippines continue to create positive change. By combining resources and shared values, these partnerships not only support livelihood and environmental programs but also reflect a shared commitment to uplift lives, promote sustainable agriculture, and build self-reliant communities across Misamis Oriental and Bukidnon.
