Dualtech Center and Industry Partners Conduct Outreach Activities for Aeta Community in Rosario, Batangas

Dualtech Training Center, together with Ibiden Philippines, Shindengen Philippines Corporation, and Sandvik Tamrock Philippines, Inc., in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Batangas, conducted corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities in Rosario, Batangas, in celebration of Indigenous Peoples’ Month. The initiative aimed to support members of the Aeta community, particularly the youth, by providing essential supplies and assistance.

As an indigenous group, the Aeta community has distinct cultural traditions and a close connection to their ancestral lands. Like other underserved communities, some Aeta families face challenges in accessing basic necessities, educational resources, and livelihood opportunities. The outreach activity sought to help address some of these needs through the collective efforts of the participating organizations.

As part of the activity, food items, toys, used clothing, and medicines provided by Shindengen Philippines Corporation, hygiene kits from Ibiden Philippines, and school supplies from Sandvik Tamrock Philippines, Inc., were distributed to Aeta community members, particularly the youth. These donations provided practical assistance to families and helped meet some of their basic needs.

DSWD Batangas expressed its appreciation to the participating organizations, including Dualtech Training Center for bringing together industry partners to support the community, particularly its indigenous members. DSWD Batangas also connected Dualtech with other stakeholders to explore potential collaborations, including initiatives to encourage more young people to enroll in training programs and pursue employment opportunities.

Certificates of appreciation were presented to Dualtech Training Center, Ibiden Philippines, Sandvik Tamrock Philippines, Inc., and Shindengen Philippines Corporation in recognition of their contributions to the outreach activity and their support for the indigenous community.

The initiative highlights the value of collaboration among educational institutions, private companies, and government agencies in extending assistance to underserved communities. Through these partnerships, organizations can help address immediate needs while exploring opportunities to support education, skills training, and future employment for indigenous youth.
