Dualtech Center and Ibiden Philippines reached out to ALS communities in Negros Oriental and Siquijor

Dualtech Training Center and Ibiden Philippines have once again conducted their career talk and CSR activity in Negros Island, reaching Alternative Learning System teachers and learners in Negros Oriental and Siquijor.The Department of Education (DepEd) Negros Oriental welcomed the team to the province for a series of career talks and a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative in the municipalities of Amlan, Siaton, Sta. Catalina, Manjuyod, and Zamboanguita.Dualtech Training Center presented its Electromechanics Technology Program, highlighting its strong industry linkage with hundreds of partner companies nationwide. Learners were introduced to career pathways offering hands-on training both in-school and in-company, providing them with opportunities for skills development and immediate employment. Ibiden Philippines shared its partnership with Dualtech, noting that its first batch of trainees, many from Negros Island, successfully gained employment with the company.To further strengthen collaboration, Dualtech and DepEd Negros Oriental signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to expand the program’s reach, enabling more learners in the province to benefit from Dualtech’s programs.As part of its CSR initiative, Ibiden Philippines also turned over laptops to ALS teachers to support teaching delivery and enhance learning access for ALS students.The team continued their outreach at the Province of Siquijor to conduct a career talk and a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity. Siquijor, known for its close-knit communities, provided an opportunity to reach more out-of-school youth and learners seeking better career pathways.The team met with Alternative Learning System (ALS) teachers and learners for a career advocacy session on Dualtech’s Electromechanics Technology program.

DepEd ALS Siquior welcomed the team and introduced them to local officials, students, and parents of prospective Dualtech scholars. Dualtech then presented its program, highlighting its unique dual-training approach that combines in-school instruction with in-company training to develop industry-ready skills. Ibiden Philippines shared its training partnership with Dualtech, emphasizing how the collaboration has helped train and employ several scholars, including its first batch from the Negros Region.

As part of the CSR activity, Ibiden Philippines, together with Dualtech Center, donated laptops to ALS teachers to support and enhance their teaching delivery.

The series of visits across Negros Oriental and Siquijor highlighted the shared commitment of Dualtech Center, Ibiden Philippines, and Department of Education to empower more learners through technical education and industry collaboration. With collaborative partnerships, CSR support, and engagement with local communities, the initiative opened opportunities for more students and out-of-school youth to access quality training and future employment opportunities.
