Dualtech and Murata, in partnership with DepEd Bohol division and DepEd Tagbilaran city, launch career programs and employment opportunities across Bohol communities
Dualtech Training Center, in collaboration with the DepEd Division Office of Bohol, conducted career orientations across Bohol to inform students, teachers, and local government officials about the programs and opportunities available at Dualtech Center. These efforts provided educational opportunities within the community of Bohol.
Dualtech presented a Coffee Table Book titled “The Running Boy” to the Department of Education (DepEd) Bohol Division. This gift was a token of gratitude for the support DepEd Bohol has given to Dualtech’s program over the years. Joining in this occasion was Philippine Manufacturing Co. of Murata, Inc., an industry partner of Dualtech that also trains Boholanos in its factory in Batangas. Over the past decade, Bohol Province has referred over 1000 learners to Dualtech. Majority are employed locally and in abroad. DepEd Bohol division arranged as well the visits of Dualtech to Pilar and Carmen and facilitated visits with Murata to Albur, Loay, and Dagohoy for its local recruitment activities.
Dualtech also presented a Coffee Table Book to the Department of Education (DepEd) Tagbilaran City Division. The presentation of “The Running Boy” symbolizes more than just gratitude; it represents the partnership between Dualtech and DepEd Tagbilaran City. The stories and achievements of the students are a testament to the impact of the collaboration.
The Dualtech team had a courtesy visit to the Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. John Ariel A. Lagura, along with Ms. Elizabeth Rosil, Education Program Specialist II for the City Division of Tagbilaran. DepEd Tagbilaran City began sending learners to Dualtech in 2015, and since then, over a hundred students have graduated from the Electromechanics program. This partnership has helped many youths of Tagbilaran City gain valuable skills and have successful careers.
Organized by the DepED Tagbilaran City Division Office, Dualtech conducted an orientation at Manga National High School to inform senior high school teachers, learners, and ALS implementers about the Dualtech program. Endorsed by School Division Superintendent Dr. Wilfreda D. Bongalos, PhD, the orientation further strengthened the program’s reach by partnering with DSWD and LGU to assist scholars in attending Dualtech, ensuring that more students could benefit from the dual training system.
In Pilar, Bohol, Dualtech Center presented the 2-year Electromechanics Technology course to the local community. The orientation was attended by the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Pilar, headed by Vice Mayor Hon. Eugenio B. Datahan III, along with some SB members, ALS teachers, parents, and aspiring applicants.
One of the highlights of the event was the testimonies from two parents of Dualtech graduates. Mrs. Fe M. Lumba, mother of Vito M. Lumba Jr., shared her son’s training at Dualtech which led him to becoming a maintenance supervisor at a food manufacturing company. She proudly mentioned that Vito also graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering through the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency Accredited Program (ETEEAP).
Mrs. Norma V. Butron, mother of Norman V. Butron, also spoke about her son’s training. She shared that Dualtech was not just about imparting technical skills but also about building character. Norman’s story highlighted how Dualtech’s values have helped him grow both professionally and personally.
These inspiring stories of Dualtech graduates showcased not only their professional achievements but also their personal growth and resilience.
Dualtech then visited Carmen, Bohol and conducted a career orientation to introduce the dual training system program. Ms. Beatriz Espanso, an ALS teacher in Carmen, expressed her gratitude to Dualtech. She shared, “Special thanks to Dualtech Training Center Foundation for an excellent and remarkable job in teaching ALS learners through the Dual Training System. May our partnership continue not just in Carmen but in the whole province of Bohol.” The event highlighted the success of over 30 graduates from Carmen who are now employed in various manufacturing firms.
The impact of Dualtech’s outreach was also felt in Loay, Bohol, where the collaboration with Philippine Manufacturing Co. of Murata, Inc., brought career talks and introduced the Electromechanics Technology course to the out-of-school youth (OSY) in the community. The event, attended by Mayor Hilario Ayuban, was organized by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Casiana P. Caberte, CESE. Murata introduced job opportunities for Boholanos, emphasizing their commitment to local talent. DepEd Bohol also presented success stories of ALS learners from Loay who studied at Dualtech, with one now employed in Taiwan and another with a multinational company in Laguna.
In Dagohoy, Bohol, the outreach continued with another career orientation for the 2-year Electromechanics Technology course, accompanied by a job fair organized by Murata. Local officials, including Mayor Hon. Germinio Relampagos, M.D. and Vice Mayor Hon. Roel Lagroma, expressed their full support for the program. Murata, a global leader in electronic components, showcased its company profile and conducted on-the-spot hiring, successfully recruiting local talent. The company’s commitment to the community was further highlighted by the employment of Dualtech trainees from Dagohoy.
During the event, Murata’s HR Director, Mr. Randy Feliciano, encouraged students to seize the opportunity to transform their lives: “You are the hope of the country. The problem is that some youths have lost hope. But this group of people here [Dualtech, Murata, LGU, DepEd, parents] is here to provide that hope. When you lose hope, you lose your dream. Dualtech is our partner in giving hope to those who cannot afford school. Murata contributes to society through OJT with our partner, Dualtech.”
Following the success of these events, Dualtech announced the upcoming arrival of a new batch of scholars, with the Dagohoy LGU stepping in to support their transportation expenses. This gesture further exemplifies the strong collaboration between local government units and Dualtech, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder students from pursuing their education and career goals.
