DepEd delegates from Bohol and Cebu attend Dualtech’s work values and immersion programs

The Department of Education (DepEd) and local government units (LGUs) from Anda and Tagbilaran, Bohol, and Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, participated in Dualtech Center’s Work Values and Dual Training System Immersion Program.

The visit helped the delegates understand how values-driven technical education prepares Dualtech scholars for the industry. During the program, Dualtech shared updates on its latest initiatives, including new industry partnerships, in-plant training, curriculum enhancements, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects.During the event, the delegates attended a talk about life’s realities and the importance of resilience. The group were encouraged to reflect on their situations and find ways to improve despite challenges. The visit also included a campus tour, where the delegates observed students actively engaged in training. They explored the facilities and witnessed how Dualtech integrates technical education with work values.As part of the immersion program, Dualtech Center organized a plant visit to EMD Technologies Philippines Inc. (NEXEM), to provide participants with a look at the training programs offered by Dualtech and its industry partners, like Nexem.Mr. Toshiyuki Goto, the President of EMD Technologies Philippines, Inc. (NEXEM), welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of the ongoing partnership between Dualtech and NEXEM. He shared his vision of expanding the collaboration, not only to provide more training opportunities for learners from Bohol but also from other provinces. He expressed optimism about the partnership’s impact on the lives of young people, empowering them with the skills and values needed to succeed in the workforce.EMD’s HR team presented a company profile, followed by a plant tour that gave the guests an inside look at the training processes and technologies at the plant. The delegates also had the opportunity to meet with the scholars from Anda and Alburquerque, Bohol.

Dr. Danilo Aton, PhD, from Anda, Bohol, shared his message, expressing his appreciation for the opportunity to witness the unique training offered by Dualtech and NEXEM. He encouraged the young learners, and the Alternative Learning System (ALS), to actively engage in acquiring technical skills combined with values formation that will have a sustainable and positive impact on their communities. Dr. Aton invited them to stay connected and join in the collective effort of Dualtech Center together with its industry partners like Nexem.The delegates then visited Continental Autonomous Mobility Philippines, Inc. in Calamba City, Laguna. Continental Plant Calamba Human Relations and Engineering teams welcomed the guests, followed by a presentation on the company’s profile and a safety orientation. Following the presentation, the guests toured Continentals’ facilities, to gain a firsthand look at the training processes and advanced technologies at Continental.After the tour, the delegates met with Dualtech scholars from Anda, Bohol, and Consolacion, Cebu. The students shared their experiences and appreciation for the hands-on learning opportunities they received at Continental.Melchor Tinampay, Dualtech Trainee from Anda, Bohol reflected on the significant changes he experienced at Continental. Initially assigned to preventive maintenance, he later transitioned to Machine Qualification, where he worked on ensuring products met required standards in size, dimension, and functionality. Despite the challenges, he remained grateful for the opportunity and embraced the learning experience as a proud Dualtech trainee.Ms. Rebelin Visaya, who represented DepEd Anda, Bohol. She conveyed gratitude for the commitment shown by Continental and acknowledged the proactive collaboration between Dualtech and Continental in providing On-the-Job Training (OJT) experiences. She also expressed optimism about expanding the program to benefit more students, believing that partnerships like these create meaningful opportunities for both learners and organizations.

Back at Dualtech Center, the Department of Education (DepEd) Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, presented Dualtech Center with a Plaque of Recognition for its partnership and support in the successful seminar-workshop, which focused on best practices in community relations, advocacy, values formation, dual training, and educational insights.

Engr. Jerry Webb E. Muhi, Dualtech’s President and Executive Director, expressed gratitude to DepEd Lapu Lapu City, Cebu for the recognition. He stated that the acknowledgment serves as inspiration for Dualtech to continue its commitment to supporting youth by providing access to technical training and stable job opportunities.The recognition highlights the shared vision of DepEd Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu and Dualtech Center—collaborating to create career pathways and educational opportunities for Cebuano youth.
