Blessing And Official Turnover Ceremony Power Electronics And Automation Control Laboratory

Dualtech Training Center held an Unveiling Ceremony for the donation of training equipment by Mr. David Cruz, III of the Dave and Bess Cruz Foundation. Together with Mr. Cruz were Fr. Aris Dy, SJ, President of Xavier School System and Mr. Peter Marc Magsalin of Xavier School Nuvali who were instrumental in facilitating the equipment donation. Fr. Jong Sabandal, Dualtech Assistant Chaplain, assisted Fr. Aris Dy in the conduct of the blessing. The laboratory is an additional venue where students may gain additional competencies in Electromechanics Technology.

The gesture traces its roots from the long history of collaborative work between Dualtech and ERDA Tech Foundation, founded by the late Fr. Pierre Tritz, SJ, and now under the direct supervision of Xavier School.
In a brief message Mr. David Cruz, III, expressed that the laboratory “is a tribute to my parents who always wanted to help the underprivileged. We hope this laboratory captures the wishes of my parents which is the spirit behind the foundation.” In the laboratory, the scholars transition to learning digital technologies, thus preparing them for Fourth Industrial Revolution skills.

Dualtech President Mr. Arnolfo Morfe, meanwhile, welcomed the generous donation which he says is part of a new collaboration between Xavier School Nuvali and Dualtech. Starting SY 2022-2023, Xavier Nuvali will support scholars in its Senior High School program under a Tech-Voc Track where the last semester will be spent in Dualtech and which in turn proceeds onwards to the in-plant training in Dualtech partner companies.

Fr. Aris, meanwhile, highlighted the opportunity for a Jesuit-run school and a school initiated by members of Opus Dei to jointly work in a portion of the vineyard of the Lord according to the church’s thrust for new evangelization.
