27 Companies received Accreditation Certificates

TESDA Calabarzon awarded the Dual Training System (DTS) accreditation certificates to 27 companies. Headed by its former Regional Director Florencio Sunico Jr, the event was also joined by TESDA Laguna Provincial Director Pascual Arriola and DTS focal persons Mss. Imee Sigua and Bing Gallego.

In the welcome message, Mr. Arnolfo Morfe, Dualtech’s President, cited the recent visit of Hanns Seidel Foundation which was instrumental in allowing Dualtech Center to pioneer the dual training system program in the country. “Hanns Seidel congratulated us and told that they are happy to see Dualtech standing over 30 years now after its initial funding. We survived because of our partnership with the local companies here in the Philippines.” Mr. Morfe said acknowledging each company that was added to the roster of industry partners of Dualtech.

Inspired by his accomplishment which started from completing a DTS program, Mr Ibrahim Palmado, Dualtech alumnus, shared his humble story from a young gritty boy in Tayabas, Quezon who landed a scholarship at Dualtech. He had an intensive technical training in one of the industry partners and acquired the vital life skills. Ibrahim then received an offer to work immediately after his in-plant training. And after over 10 years of hard work and professional advancement, he was able to put up a consulting firm that focuses on health and safety in the workplace.

Ibrahim was featured in the TESDA promotional video material and one of the finalists in TESDA Idol representing TESDA Calabarzon in 2018.

Dir. Sunico who worked for other regions in Visayas and Mindanao had learned of Dualtech from his previous stints. “I heard of Dualtech and that is our model for Dual-Training-System”, he said. The DTS has been one of the priority enterprise-based programs of TESDA because it facilitates immediate employment with a smooth transition from being a student to becoming a qualified skilled worker. “This time, we put premium on this type of delivery and Dualtech is leading us on that. We hope we could continue with that partnership. I am happy celebrating a milestone in this part of our country CALABARZON which is an industrial region.”

TESDA Region IV-A also released the accreditation certificates of Savvy Blends Corporation, ASTEC Consumer, Broadconcept Solutions, Super Manufacturing, Megapaint Corporation, Top Notch Foods Manufacturing, Szolare Co, Amcor Specialty Cartons Rizal, D&L Polymer and Colours, BAG Electronics, Cypress Manufacturing, Maratex Manufacturing Corporation, and Suzuki Philippines.
