Dualtech Engages Local Communities to Promote Scholarship and Technical Education Opportunities in Camarines Sur
Access to technical education can help young people develop practical skills and prepare for employment. To bring these opportunities to local communities, Dualtech Training Center conducted a series of career orientations in Camarines Sur.
The team first visited Libmanan, Camarines Sur, to conduct a career orientation for Senior High School graduates, out-of-school youth, and their parents. The activity was supported by representatives from the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), Community Development Office (CDO), and Alternative Learning System (ALS). During the orientation, the team introduced the Electromechanics Technology program and explained how its combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training prepares trainees for employment. Participants also learned about available scholarship opportunities and the importance of developing skills that meet industry needs.
The team then proceeded to San Fernando for a courtesy visit to Municipal Mayor Hon. Betty Ann Kristine Danabar-Fulgentes to present training programs and discuss ways to support aspiring trainees from the municipality. Mayor Fulgentes expressed interest in helping qualified youth access the program. Both parties also discussed the possibility of establishing a formal partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to support prospective trainees.
Following the courtesy visit, Dualtech continued its community engagement in Barangay Binahian, Sipocot, where it held a career orientation attended by out-of-school youth, parents, barangay officials, and families of current trainees and graduates. The team introduced the Electromechanics Technology program and discussed how technical training helps young people develop practical skills and prepare for employment.
The activity also featured a testimonial from a parent of a Dualtech graduate, who shared how the program helped her son develop technical skills and access better employment opportunities. Her experience offered other families a firsthand perspective on the opportunities that technical education can provide.
These engagements strengthen Dualtech’s partnerships with local communities and promote access to technical education in Camarines Sur. Through continued coordination with local officials and community members, Dualtech hopes to connect more aspiring trainees with opportunities to learn, gain workplace experience, and pursue careers in the industry.
