Dualtech Hosts PTIC, MECO, and TEEMA Delegation for Filipino Workforce Development

Dualtech Training Center Foundation, Inc. welcomed representatives from the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC), the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO), and the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (TEEMA) for a visit aimed at exploring career opportunities for Filipinos in Taiwan’s leading companies. The visit brought together stakeholders from government and Taiwan’s manufacturing sector to gain a deeper understanding of Dualtech’s enterprise-based training model and discuss potential areas for partnership.TEEMA is one of Taiwan’s largest industry associations, representing companies in the electrical, electronics, information and communications technology (ICT), semiconductor, and related manufacturing industries. The organization plays a significant role in advancing Taiwan’s high-technology sector and connecting industries with skilled talent.During the program, Dualtech presented its training programs and industry partnerships, highlighting its pioneering implementation of the Dual Training System in the Philippines. The presentation showcased the institution’s apprenticeship programs, technical certification pathways, and career development opportunities that enable trainees to acquire industry-relevant competencies while instilling discipline, work values, and professionalism.

The discussion emphasized how Dualtech develops technically competent and values-oriented professionals who are equipped to meet the evolving workforce requirements of both Philippine and international industries.An open forum followed the presentation, providing representatives from TEEMA, MECO, PTIC, and participating companies with an opportunity to exchange insights on Taiwan’s current manpower requirements, emerging industry trends, in-demand technical competencies, and potential areas for collaboration. The dialogue underscored the growing demand for skilled Filipino technicians and the importance of aligning technical education with global industry needs.The delegation also toured the Dualtech campus, where they observed trainees undergoing hands-on instruction in classrooms and workshops, including the Electrical Laboratory, Industrial Automation Laboratory, and the Toyota Training Laboratory for Forklift Technicians.
