Dualtech Training Center, Marsman Drysdale Foundation, and Ibiden Philippines Collaborate on CSR Projects in the Davao Region

Dualtech Training Center Foundation, Inc., together with its partners Marsman Drysdale Foundation and Ibiden Philippines, conducted a series of engagements across the Davao Region, collaborating with schools, educators, local stakeholders, and the Department of Education (DepEd) to promote technical education, enhance learning resources, and encourage more young Filipinos to pursue careers in industry.
The activities began with a visit to Marsman Drysdale Foundation, where Dualtech met with foundation representatives to discuss a scholarship partnership for students from Davao del Norte. Having previously visited Dualtech and witnessed the impact of its industry-based training program, Marsman reaffirmed its confidence in the institution by pledging to sponsor 10 scholars, including their airfare to Dualtech. The Foundation also organized an orientation attended by prospective scholars and their parents, during which Dualtech presented its Electromechanics Technology Program. The session generated strong interest among the participants, many of whom expressed their intention to pursue technical training and employment opportunities through the program.
From there, the team proceeded to Pangi National High School in New Bataan, Davao de Oro, for the turnover of the Science in A Box laboratory facility. Despite the province’s growing economy, many schools, particularly those in remote areas, continue to face challenges such as limited laboratory facilities and learning resources.
The Science in A Box provides students with a container-based science laboratory where they can conduct experiments and strengthen their practical understanding of science. The project was further enhanced through the donation of two laptop units from Ibiden Philippines, enabling teachers and students to access digital learning resources, prepare laboratory activities, conduct research, and integrate technology into science instruction.
Following the turnover ceremony, Dualtech and Ibiden Philippines conducted career talks for students, introducing the Electromechanics Technology Program and the employment opportunities available through the program. Ibiden Philippines also shared its successful partnership with Dualtech, which began in 2023 and has already produced graduates who are now employed by the company.

The CSR mission continued in Davao del Norte, where Dualtech and Ibiden Philippines met with Alternative Learning System (ALS) teachers from across the province. Many ALS educators serve geographically isolated communities and often travel long distances under challenging conditions to reach out-of-school youth and adult learners.During the gathering, Dualtech presented its Electromechanics Technology Program and highlighted its partnership with Ibiden Philippines in creating educational and employment opportunities for Filipino youth. Through its Labor Management Cooperation (LMC) CSR initiative, Ibiden Philippines donated three laptop units to ALS teachers to support lesson preparation, learner assessment, digital record-keeping, and the delivery of quality instruction.The partners then traveled to the Municipality of Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental, where they conducted career talks for ALS learners. Situated in the southeastern part of Mindanao, Davao Oriental continues to experience economic growth; however, many municipalities remain geographically distant from major industrial centers, limiting access to technical education and employment opportunities.
During the career orientation sessions, participants were introduced to Electromechanics Technology Program, which combines in-school instruction with industry-based training and leads to employment opportunities with partner companies such as Ibiden Philippines. The activity encouraged learners to consider technical education as a pathway to stable and meaningful careers.

The regional visit concluded with a courtesy call on the Department of Education – Schools Division of Davao Oriental, where Dualtech met with Dr. Josephine Fadul and other education officials to discuss opportunities for collaboration in promoting technical education among senior high school students and Alternative Learning System learners. The meeting also served as a venue to present training programs and scholarship opportunities while exploring future partnerships that will connect more students to industry-based education and employment.
The series of activities demonstrated how collaboration among Dualtech Training Center, Marsman Drysdale Foundation, Ibiden Philippines, and the Department of Education can make an impact on communities. By investing in science education, supporting teachers, expanding career awareness, and strengthening school partnerships, the organizations continue to open pathways that equip Davaoeños with the skills, opportunities, and confidence to build productive futures.
