Dualtech Training Center promotes program in Benguet for Scholarship, Training, and Employment Opportunities

Dualtech Training Center conducted a series of school visits and engagements in Benguet to promote skills development and broaden access to career opportunities for the youth.Dualtech representatives visited several schools and Local Government Units (LGUs) in Itogon with Learning Without Borders Philippines to share information about the program with students, parents, and local officials. The team presented technical training as a viable career pathway for communities largely dependent on farming and mining.

Ms. Claris Quezon, Human Development Program Manager of Learning Without Borders Philippines, expressed her commitment to youth development by successfully sending students from Pampanga who are now enrolled at Dualtech. Inspired by the positive outcomes of these students, Ms. Quezon extended the same opportunities to aspiring learners in Benguet.

The visits helped explain the training process and employment opportunities after completion, while aiming to expand access to technical education in the area. The coordinators believe that through collaboration with schools and local government units in Itogon, more youth will gain access to quality technical training leading to sustainable employment and long-term career growth. Their shared vision is to empower the youth of Benguet to build brighter futures through skills development and industry exposure.The team also conducted career orientations for senior high school students at Trazon S. Fianza Sr. National High School and Alejo M. Pacalso Memorial National High School – AYOSIP Annex in Itogon, Benguet, introducing the Dualtech program and its training opportunities.Many families in Benguet rely on farming, gold, and copper mining for their livelihood. While these industries have sustained communities for generations, they also come with economic uncertainties and physical risks.In another engagement in Benguet, Benguet Corporation (BC) and Dualtech have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to support the training and scholarship of deserving youth from Benguet communities, including Ampucao, Virac, and Poblacion. This partnership aims to expand access to education and create better employment opportunities for scholars in these areas.

Through sustained collaboration with Learning Without Borders Philippines, local schools, LGUs, and Benguet Corporation, Dualtech continues to strengthen pathways toward quality technical education and employment.
