“Attitude, Belief, and Commitment”: President of Allegro Properties shares lessons with Dualtech Graduates
On November 8, 2025, Dualtech Training Center held its Commencement Exercises, where 102 trainees received their diplomas for the 2-year Electromechanics Technology course.
The ceremony was attended by guests, including officials from the Department of Education (DepEd) Clarin Bohol, and Industry partners, including representatives from Handling Innovation Inc. and Lao Foundation, who witnessed the graduation of their trainees and scholars.
Batch Representative Allan Bataican, a scholar of the Angelicum Charitable Foundation from Occidental Mindoro, stood before his fellow graduates to share a story that reflected courage, faith, and second chances. Allan expressed his deep appreciation for Dualtech Training Center, describing it not only as a place of learning but also as a home that molded the students’ character, discipline, and faith.
Allan Bataican was trained and is currently employed at Handling Innovation Inc. (Toyota Forklifts Philippines), where he gained firsthand experience of real work life. He reflected that it was there the graduates truly learned the meaning of hard work and responsibility, noting that every challenge made them stronger and every pressure taught them to stand firm.
To his fellow graduates, Allan offered a message of hope and encouragement. He reminded them to carry with them the lessons they learned from Dualtech — not just technical skills but also values rooted in faith and integrity.
As the guest speaker during the Commencement Exercises, Mr. Leo De Leon, President of Allegro Properties, shared his life story and the three lessons that guided his success — Attitude, Belief, and Commitment.
He said Attitude helped him rise from being an accounting clerk to a company controller, even without an accounting degree. By working smarter and harder, taking on more responsibilities, and standing up for himself, he was able to grow in his career.
He talked about Belief by believing in yourself, your family, your education, and your work. Belief, he said, gives you strength to overcome challenges.
He also shared the importance of Commitment through his experience as a business owner. When he started his donut shop, he worked day and night to keep it running, even during typhoons. His hard work and dedication helped him grow the business into several branches.
Mr. De Leon encouraged the graduates to be people who make things happen, to never give up, and to see graduation as the beginning of new opportunities to reach their dreams.
As part of the ceremony, Dualtech recognized its alumnus, Jerwin G. Oñate, for successfully passing the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) examinations as a Registered Master Electrician and Electronics Technician. Engr. Jerry Webb E. Muhi, Dualtech’s President and Executive Director, together with Engr. Romel T. Baccay, Alumni Relations Coordinator, presented the certificate of recognition.
Dualtech alumnus and current Student & Alumni Affairs Officer, Mr. Jose Gabriel M. Curitana, led the oath-taking of the graduates as new members of the Dualtech Center Alumni Association.
