Dualtech Center collaborates with Local Stakeholders in Misamis Occidental and Lanao Del Sur
Dualtech Center conducted a series of visits to strengthen partnerships and open opportunities for youth across various regions. The initiative began at the Our Lady of Triumph Institute of Technology (OLT) in Ozamiz City and continued to Lanao del Sur. The goal was to expand access to Dualtech’s Electromechanics Technology program and industry-based training. By collaborating with local institutions, government agencies, and organizations, this effort aims to equip youth with valuable skills and open doors to stable employment opportunities.
Dualtech Center visited the Our Lady of Triumph (OLT) Institute of Technology in Ozamiz City. OLT also arranged a visit to its maritime school, the Misamis Institute of Technology. Dualtech toured the campus and training facilities to learn more about its program offerings.
OLT will endorse its TVET graduates to Dualtech for further training and on-the-job training. This collaboration aims to provide learners from Ozamiz City with access to Dualtech’s training programs and its partner companies.
The team also made a courtesy visit to Provincial Director Noralaine Rasul of TESDA Misamis Occidental to explore potential collaboration under the Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) program within the province.
During the meeting, the Dualtech team presented an overview of its Electromechanics Technology program, emphasizing the role of industry partners in providing hands-on, work-based training. The discussion underscored how Dualtech’s training model aligns with the objectives of the EBET program, particularly in bridging the gap between education and employment.
Dualtech Center then visited Lanao del Sur to meet with Ecosystem Work for Essential Benefits, Inc. (ECOWEB), a partner in the Zero Extreme Poverty (ZEP) 2030 initiative. ECOWEB connected Dualtech Center with the Lanao Youth Council (LYC) to identify potential scholars from Marawi City and nearby towns.
A career orientation was conducted by Dualtech Center at Sarip Memorial National High School in Bubong, Lanao del Sur. Graduating senior high school students attended the session, where they learned about the Electromechanics Technology course offered by Dualtech.
The orientation also introduced students to the enterprise-based training program, which combines in-school training with on-the-job training (OJT) in partner companies. ECOWEB and the Lanao Youth Council highlighted how this opportunity can help local youth secure immediate and stable employment after completing the program.
The Lanao Youth Council expressed its support by offering transportation assistance for scholars going to Dualtech Center. Students from Sarip Memorial National High School showed interest in enrolling in the program. ECOWEB also reaffirmed its commitment to connect its broader network of partners with Dualtech Center to support this initiative.
With support from community leaders and organizations such as ECOWEB and the Lanao Youth Council, Dualtech Center is committed to bridging the gap between education and employment. By connecting youth with practical, hands-on training in partnership with leading companies, Dualtech is creating opportunities for the future for students in Ozamiz City and Lanao del Sur. This growing network of collaboration not only enhances career prospects but also uplifts entire communities, fostering long-term growth and empowering the next generation.
