Seeds that were Planted in Us

johnmarkmata-sept2019In the near future, when we would have settled and carved our own places in different companies, maybe some of us would have gone abroad and more so and many of us would have done good and improved their lives and others as well. Do not forget to give back to others what we ourselves have received so that there will be continuity, and the seeds that were planted to become mature trees now bear more fruits and seeds to be sown again. All good seeds and good fruits for a bountiful harvest.” – John Mark D. Mata, from Valencia City Bukidnon | Scholar, Angelicum Foundation | Trained at Susalum Corporation

Life is like traveling through a river. There are moments that the river is calm, and sometimes turbulent. There are deep portions, as well as shallow; smooth flowing and turbulent parts. And there are plenty of branches, leading to directions, unfamiliar to one. The flow is continuous and cannot be stopped.

To my batch mates in this graduation, we met at one of these junctions of this vast river that is Dualtech. Before I learned about Dualtech from my mother, I had been a college undergraduate; I had no self confidence. I was afraid of responsibilities and had a dark outlook in life. I existed in a “virtual world”. I turned my back from my responsibilities and drowned myself in the temporary pleasures because of the influence of other people. And then, the thought came to me and I asked myself, “What would become of me in the future?”, “Why is it that, in spite of the talents I have, I am unable to do anything to correct my situation?”. And it dawned in me, I did not have the necessary VIRTUES!

Though I did not have enough faith in God, I tried to ask Him and prayed hard so that I could change. One incident brought me to decide to seek Dualtech: My mother told me of a school called Dualtech, that the students there are well behaved and respectful. Their training is hard, but why do they struggle to finish their training? - I asked myself.

I took courage and decided to enroll; perhaps I would find what I was looking for here. And the challenge was that if I will be able to face the realities of life, I had to face many trials which I was able to overcome with the help and guidance of Dualtech.

Being prayerful and thankful for all that I received, I was able to cope by being patient, hardworking, and understanding for all the work assigned to me. I learned to be strong in all aspects and overcame all obstacles that came my way.

My strength is on reliance in my faith so that I don’t get carried away from the strong currents of this river. But, be assured that I will not drown if I continue to trust God.

I am very thankful to Dualtech because I found myself here. I know that time will come that I will have other responsibilities and challenges too; but I will not be afraid. I can begin from the initial virtues I have started top discover and develop here that will help me fight and survive.

We have to put all these in our hearts, never to forget, so that we will be able to face anything at work and in life. Give thanks for all that we receive even though we did not ask for it. Do not be blinded by the sparkle of material things that “glitters like gold”. Do not get captivated by the passing pleasures and relationships that will only weigh down and wear us. Let us be humble always. Never rely on just our human strengths, turn to God, Let us count our blessings.

We must always be grateful for everything. The future is ahead and we are to go forward. We are grateful to Dualtech Center for being like a mother who nurtured and guided us through this 2 year long period. Indeed she is a true mother “Mother of Our Souls”, “Alma Mater”.

In the near future, when we would have settled and carved our own places in different companies, maybe some of us would have gone abroad and more so and many of us would have done good and improved their lives and others as well. Do not forget to give back to others what we ourselves have received so that there will be continuity, and the seeds that were planted to become mature trees now bear more fruits and seeds to be sown again. All good seeds and good fruits for a bountiful harvest.

We thank the cooperating companies Dualtech partners, who embraced us in their facilities and trained us to be proficient.

We thank our parents without whose love and support we would be without inspiration.

We thank our teachers, Learning Facilitators, Industrial Coordinators, Mentors, Coaches, because of whose guidance we learned and matured.

We thank the many other unsung persons, who for some reason also influenced, affected and contributed to our development and well-being so that we can see life with a clearer vision.

Thank God, Almighty for we owe Him everything! And may He bless everyone as well as we continue our journey!
