ABS- CBN produces AVP for Dualtech
“Bawat isa sa atin, may mga bitbit na pangarap sa buhay. Dala- dala natin ang mga pangarap na ito saan man tayo dalhin ng pagkakataon.”
On September 10, ABS- CBN Integrated Public Service Office launched an AVP for Dualtech Center during its Commencement Exercises. It was aired in TV Patrol Southern Tagalog, with field reporter Kevin Dinglasan, and simulcast over ABS- CBN TV- 24 Lucena City, TV-11 Occidental Mindoro, TV- 21 Calapan, TV- 46 San Pablo, TV- 40 Taytay/ Jalajala and TV-32 Tagaytay.
The said AVP featured several partner companies of Dualtech and some scholars.
Gregg Lloyd Cretesio of Ormoc City worked as a bagger in a supermarket in his province. But, his earning was not even enough for his own expenses that he could not even extend help to his mother. Arman Balatero, on the other hand, wished to become an Engineer, but the 17- year old native of Bohol lost his father when he was six, and since then, he knew that he needed to stand on his feet to improve his family situation. As with all the boys, Robel Asuncion of Agusan del Sur had to work as security guard in their province to help his parents in providing for their daily needs.
In spite of their circumstances, these boys had hope. “Interesado po akong mag- aral talaga. Naniniwala po ako na iyon na ang huli kong pag- asa na maiangat ang sarili ko,” shared Gregg.
“Ito rin ang pangarap ng Dualtech Training Center: ang maging kaagapay ng mga kabataang lalaki na nagsisikap sa buhay.”
“What is unique with our boys is that practically they can do all things [in terms of technical aspect]” said by Dualtech’s Executive Director, Jerry Webb Muhi. But Gregg, Arman and Robel, along with a thousand boys from different areas in the Philippines presently enrolled, are taught not only how to troubleshoot or fabricate, but to live and apply the work values they learned.
“Yung formation na binibigay ng Dualtech ay hindi lang sa kanilang chosen field kundi sa pansarili nila,” affirmed by Mr. Mario Mamon, President of Enchanted Kingdom.
The same attitude is observed by Atty. Louie Soriano, Head of Administration of Honda Cars Philippines Inc. “ The way they trained their trainees, they impart the moral values. That is the reason why we choose Dualtech (trainees).
“Sa tulong ng mga partner na kumpanya, tinitiyak nila na ang lahat ng magsisipagtapos ay may sapat na skills at kailaman na kinakailangan sa industriya. “
Most of the trainees, after spending 18 month- Advance Stage Training Program, are absorbed immediately by their sponsor companies for probationary or regular position. This accounts to the work etiquette and moral values they have shown during their training, despite some challenges that are hard to bear for their young age.
“Most of the companies are very happy with the performance of the graduates. They really like the working attitude of these students. This is the reason why they want to hire our graduates,” affirmed by Mr. Joel del Rosario, School Director.
Marami na silang nabuong kwento ng tagumpay. At marami pang bubuuing kwento ng pangarap.
Majority of the graduates’ lives have changed drastically while they were starting to build their dreams at the institution and after several years of working in their chosen career. The likes of Mr. Jun Simbulan, who “nagdidildil ng asin noong araw” is now working as General Manager of Yen Industrial Corp and Mr. Paulo Gisala Martinez is now a Manager of Transcend Technologies, after Dualtech opened opportunities through his education.
These, and many other technicians, machinists, supervisors, managers and presidents, are products of the dedication and prayer Dualtech Training Center has put into into its ventures.
“Sa bawat dasal, sa bawat pagsisikap, walang hindi makakaya. Habang may institusyong kagaya ng Dualtech, hindi ka na mag- iisa sa pagbubuo ng sarili mong kwento ng tagumpay. “
