Handling Innovation sponsors Scholars
Being one of the largest distributors of forklift and warehouse trucks, Handling Innovation, which offers transport, racking and storage picking solutions in manufacturing and commercial industry has for its bread-and-butter the quality of its team of technicians. Throughout the years, the management has tried many schools in the hope of finding the best employees that could fit in with their culture. They worked with several engineers and technologists that could smoothly identify why a certain unit has not been running for hours, follow a wiring diagram, and draw out improvement suggestions for a more efficient process and production output.
“But we are looking for something else,” said Mr. Arnold Chung, Business Development of the aforementioned company. “We are looking for someone who could combine technical expertise and work ethics.” An idea that, as he reaffirmed based on a decade of partnership, Dualtech has satisfactorily given.
Whenever there is a unit downtime, or a need for preventive maintenance, or simple 5S and technical report write- ups, there is a Dualtech trainee who is always ready to be of service. For these reasons, Handling Innovation has extended its support. More than being a partner company which hosts trainees, it also has set aside funding to help deserving scholars to pay for their tuition contribution.
One is a son of carpenter and a housewife from Magdiwang, Romblon, Mr. Albert Tolentino. His parents’ income is not sufficient for their daily needs, much less for the support of education of his older siblings. After high school, he knew that he would have the same fate. But, when Dualtech Community Relations Team visited their school for career orientation, a glimmer of hope shone him.
Finally, he would have a different fate.
True to every scholarship, it does not only serve as the bridge between his meager life in the province and brighter opportunity in the future, but also, equally important, it saves the struggling parents from worrying about his sustenance.
Handling Innovation started in 2002 as a Philippine distributor of BT Warehouse Trucks. The latter acquired Raymond Warehouse Trucks in 2006. Three years later, Toyota Industries Corporation acquired BT and Raymond to become Toyota Material Handling International which distributes Toyota Forklifts, BT and Raymond warehouse Trucks.
