Streetlight Foundation

The referral or suggestion of one foundation to another, bears fruit that benefited students from Tacloban.

When the Consuelo Foundation learned about a visit of Dualtech to Tacloban, they invited Streetlight to come over to check what Dualtech could offer. That was the first encounter of Streetlight with Dualtech. Three staff from Streetlight attended the orientation and they were amazed with the values formation that a trainee could inherit. Streetlight was also convinced of the platform of being employed after two years of studies.

Engr. Andy Malihan, one of Dualtech mentors, introduced Angelicum Foundation to Dualtech. The Angelicum Foundation is the CSR arm of the Ortoll Group of Companies. Last May 2016, Mr. Jorge Ortoll, a majority stockholder of Ortoll Group of Companies visited Dualtech and was able to witness students in action and the facilities. Interviewing students, he saw their determination to continue their education. The resolve of each student mattered a lot to the Ortoll’s.

SM Foundation

sm-fdnAfter the graduation of SM Foundation's first batch from Tacloban City Leyte, another 100 Dualtech scholars were among 1,000 new beneficiaries in technical and vocational (Tech-Voc) education in 2016.

On September 04, 2016, SM Foundation invited partner technical schools on its first Tech-Voc general assembly in SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City. From its usual number of 100 scholars annualy, SM made it to 1,000 in 2016 as they believe that graduates of Tech-Voc get immediate jobs and have bigger opportunity to be uplifted from poverty. SM Group of Companies also sees great demand for skilled manpower in the country and abroad.
