GPCCI gives Special Award to Dualtech Center
Dualtech Center paid tribute to its pioneers as it received a special award for excellence and long-standing implementation of German Dual Education Model
On November 26, The German Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry recognized Dualtech Center as the pioneer school in the Dual Training System (DTS) during the first Vocational Training Award Gala Night held in Marriot Hotel.
Mr. Arnolfo Morfe, President of Dualtech accepted the award as a tribute to the founders of Dualtech represented by an organization called the South East Asian Science Foundation, Inc. and its partner institution, Hanns Seidel Stiftung of Germany.
Recognition was owed to the nearly 200 men and women who had been involved in the organization of Dualtech in its various stages throughout the years: trustees, leaders, managers, teachers, staff, mentors, coordinators, volunteers, consultants, including 4 Hanns Seidel advisers in the course of the early half of Dualtech's life and 3 technical experts for brief stints. One early adviser summarized his adventure as "I came to the Philippines like a German "oak-tree", and I returned like a Filipino "coconut-tree".
This award was also a tribute to the earliest batches of cooperating companies of Dualtech: which became the fertile seed-bed of Dualtech's "attempt". Finally, the efforts of the existing team of about 30 personnel, who do their best every day, supported by the 12 trustees comprising the board, who provide oversight and governance, were worthy of this recognition. Salamat po!
